NedaSay 836
They all look very nice. Too bad they can't make their way to Canada for another 15 freakin years...

I don’t think the external images are particularly good representations of what the actual colours will look like though in reality you only need to look at the Essex blue paintwork (attached) inside and out to see that. I really do hope the stripes are painted in and out and not decals, but cost common sense tells me they’ll be decals. To better represent the colours they’d have been better using the black backgrounds and calm the reflecting of the paintwork, as per the Lotus configurator. Lotus do still seem to slip up on the obvious stuff too many times. But I love this new collection......can’t help thinking there should have been a 25 Green and Yollow variant in there too though According to the pricing £2200.00 for special (exterior) limited edition livery scheme surely this is for paint? 1 Quote Darryl & Sue Proud to drive and own a true British supercar the Evora GT430

Nelly 186
Hate to say it, but underwhelmed was the exact word I was thinking of..so no its not just you. I read a comment on another site about typical Lotus, special edition of existing old cars and I had to agree. Its a weird one, dynamically and as a drivers car it still very much cuts the mustard. Popular Post scotty435 1,049
sorry but I have to disagree with the last few comments. A company with such a great heritage that most manufacturers can only dream of, that are making the most of there great history makes me feel proud to be passionate follower of the brand. Surely there is a limit that you can do with a old design and for me Lotus as hit the nail on the head, this Elise will go down as a classic as we move into a different era. If I was a bit younger I would not hesitate in parking my ass in what as to be the best Elise interior ever manufactured, at this price point I struggle to see a better looking and performing two seater sports car at this present time and who knows ever. It’s a stunning car showing of a great heritage what more could you want?
KAS-118 229
I have to agree with you. We all know that the current line up is on its way out. I think they've produced great designs for the Elise to be finished on. Lotus should be proud to display its racing heritage - and the Gold Leaf, JPS and Essex are some iconic liveries that are particularly associated with the Brand. If I only wanted a 2-seater, I'd certainly be buying one of these. Edited May 7, 2020 by Bibs

Bibs 11,176
A little more clarity on the pricing... A view on the value proposition is a standard Elise Sport 220 is £39900 - they will almost always have A/C, stereo, interior colour pack, cloth seats with no insulation or carpets, sometimes stitching to match exterior - so typically, Elise Sport 220 would retail at £44000. For another £2250, the LE offers forged alloys, 2 piece brakes, bespoke paint, stitching, livery, paint, Alcantara, Alcantara wheel, stereo, insulation, carpets, 4 speakers, A/C - should retail at £51635, sells for £46250. Good deal, and they are limited too. 2 Quote 88 Esprit NA, 89 Esprit Turbo SE, Evora, Evora S, Evora IPS, Evora S IPS, Evora S IPS SR, Evora 400, Elise S1, Elise S1 111s, Evora GT410 Sport Evora NA For forum issues, please contact the Moderators. Popular Post Jonathan E 43
After making some noises with Lotus last year in regards to buying a new Elise I was told these editions were in the pipeline for January 2020, I explained I was in no rush to buy and can only think CV19 has pushed the launch back? It was a real dilemma but in the end I put my money on a cup 250 as I hoped I’d see delivery sooner and also I’ve never been a massive fan of the heritage cars(with some exceptions) and a new 220 would maybe have looked a bit meh when up along some new colour schemes. Having seen the cars I’m very happy with my choice, more to the point I’d have been happy with a new 220. The Elise is now getting towards the end of the line, what Lotus have done with these editions is nothing different to other manufacturers faced with the same circumstances, ie throw in a few sweeteners at a lesser cost. Who knows what the next generation Elise holds, I suspect bigger, heavier, faster, and more gadgets with a price tag to match... A new 250 is right at the very very top of my budget so I’m afraid after 9 previous Elise’s this will be my last and the fact that it will be one of the last was very much in my thinking when I decided to buy it. Just need the factory to get back to work and get it delivered to the dealer now....lol

scotty435 1,049
Ex 250 Cup owner here and as you probably know they are just amazing. The Elise as been the bread and butter for the company and with out it I am sure the brand would be resigned to the history books. Over the years the company have refined it to car we have today no matter which model, its the time to get into one. Sure the next generation is going to be ground breaking in many ways and superd because that’s the only way the company works. But for me the last models of this generation, build quality, looks, performance as to be a great place to put your money. Edited May 8, 2020 by Bibs
Popular Post duncx 112
You won't be disappointed, it will be worth the wait! IMO the 250 Cup is the best ever Lotus for fun road use

Popular Post Jonathan E 43
Only had a few test drives and it was a tough call between the 220 and 250 but the 250 just edged it. I sold my old Elise in October 2019 and this is the longest I’ve been without one in 20 years. It helps that I wouldn’t be able to drive it anyway but Christ the wait is killing me. Thanks for the positive comments!

Gold FFM jep 859 Posted May 9, 2020 Gold FFM Report Share Posted May 9, 2020 I look forward to seeing these in the flesh. Interiors, a particularly important feature for me in any car, appear most appealing. The exterior location of the large stripe is bold and not a design I recall seeing before on a road car...I bet it will be spot-on in reality as Lotus graphics rarely fail. Interesting chat about Elise 250, a car that has rather by-passed my attention. I best drive one. Justin
Popular Post Petrolgeneration 69
I honestly was looking at them and thinking... hmm... might just buy one as a daily driver sorta thing! My Cup 250 is getting more and more racecar and hardcore so less and less useable on the road. I really enjoy the short drives to my office in my Lotus so one on regular tires that I can drive every day would be very nice.
Chris Dan1 0
I’m not a fan of this heritage look. Too fussy for me. Prefer the simple colours that show the great curves of the Elise.
