Vettel was visiting yesterday.

Mind you if Danny R gets a go, can't see him wanting to help Max anyway.

Move over Checco.

Really. Too much sponsorship comes with him and personally I don't think Riccardo would be any better , in fact a lot worse. He was awful at maclaren

Think Stroll is more of a problem for Aston Martin and now his father has sold part of his shares to Geely

So, no one watched the race last weekend - no comments......

Mercs did better, Ferrari worse but oh what a surprise MV won by a country mile.

Looks like he could win every remaining race this year, perhaps an odd win for Perez if Max breaks down.

To be honest, I was asleep by turn 6, not helped by them ditching the last chicane for some reason.

Notice how all the moaners about Mercs constant winning seem to be quiet now Red Bull really have turned it into a bore fest.

Is it just me, but I find Russells radio chatter frightfully shite, or is that contrite?.

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

The two Mercedes drivers ending up on the podium in only the second race with the new style car is very promising. As the designers develop the car it can only get better. It will probably make for a more interesting race if they can get on the front row of the grid with Verstappen.

On Sunday, I found I was watching the gap times, which probably says something about the race.

Hamilton is starting to come alive again now he has a more promising car. I think he has shown that he has the legs on Russell. In the 2022 season, Hamilton had some bad luck in some races and Russell was consistent. Unless things go wrong I think this season will be Hamilton's, between the Mercedes guys.

There is always one team well ahead of the rest. You have to go back a long way to find more than one team being super competitive. Look at the list.

Verstappen last 2 years

Mercedes 2014-2020

Red Bull 2010-2013

Brawn/McLaren/Ferrari (a rarity having one off championships) 2007-2009

Renault 2005-6

Ferrari 2000-2004

etc etc

It will come around again, but it does seem strange that one team is normally head and shoulders above everyone else.

The Brawn/McLaren/Ferrsari years were unusual in that they were close but you are talking so far back that cars actually could race close to each other.

Possibly save your life. Check out this website.

Quite true. The most competitive periods are when the dominant team are on the wane and another team is on the up. That will give you a season or so of close racing, but then the status quo returns with a new name at the top and the rest just hoping for the odd lucky race victory.

https://the-race.com/formula-1/how-1200-track-limit-reviews-overwhelmed-f1s-policing-system/

More than 100 laptimes were deleted in Sunday’s race after drivers repeatedly exceeded track limits, mainly on the entry and especially the exit of the final corner, but more than 1200 potential offences had to be reviewed by race control.

Put the gravel back to the edge of the kerb and then let the drivers screw themselves over. They've made many of the circuits a joke with their tarmac runoffs etc.

Exactly. And if they keep complaining that's what they should do.
