exeterjeep
Ferrari almost a minute behind Max - not good, Merc were closer today but should have gone to softs, would have been closer. Best drive of the year for Daniel.
pete
Surprised Merc ran both drivers on the same strategy Quote hindsight: the science that is never wrong
LotusLeftLotusRight
Crazy decision by Mercedes to start on mediums and switch to hards. Just played straight into Verstappen’s hands: the two Mercedes were always on the slower tyre compared to the Red Bulls. When was the last time a medium tyre really fell off the cliff face? Another strategy balls up. Congratulations to Red Bull though for a good result.

Popular Post LotusLeftLotusRight
Whilst my car was in at Lotus Silverstone for its service, I wandered over to the circuit to find some lunch. The museum and the small on-site cafe were both closed. The gatehouse suggested the new trackside Hilton Hotel. They have a first floor restaurant overlooking the Wing, pit-lane and grid. I gave it a try and ordered the Goan fish curry. As I was eating I noticed some activity in pit garage 03. Turns out it was the Aston Martin F1 team doing a test in their 2021 car with newly crowned F2 champion Felipe Drugovich. He is now their reserve/development driver and will take part in an F1 practice session at the season ending Abu Dhabi GP. They had the good manners to wait until I’d finished before sending him out for a few laps, which I watched from the restaurant veranda. They’re still quite noisy and ridiculously fast around bends. This in hotel foyer.
Chillidoggy
I was getting all excited about a possible challenge from the Mercs, and then it all went wrong. Shame, and the race was a bit dull, apart from Riccardo's suicidal move. Quote Margate Exotics.
Chillidoggy
last from the past! Just stumbled across these on my PC. Brands Hatch, but I'm not sure of the date. It was a test day, Damon Hill in the Jordan, I do remember him giving us a talk later, with Mike Gasgoyne. 1 Quote Margate Exotics.

Popular Post PaulCP
Great weekend for GR👍Well done Have to mention Vercrashen though, when he ran in to Hamilton he was straight on the radio complaining that LH hadn’t left him enough room, which translates into “I am the mighty Max, move over.” At least the stewards didn’t fall for it this time
Popular Post PaulCP
What an absolutely self centred arrogant tw@t this guy is. This happened towards the end of the race when it was clear that Perez was quicker and the Tw@t was unable to get past Alonso 'I gave my reasons and I stand by it' - Verstappen This is what Max Verstappen said over the team radio when asked by his engineer to let Sergio Perez go through: "I told you already last time, you guys don't ask that again to me, OK? Are we clear about that? I gave my reasons and I stand by it." Back to the Red Bull radio messages and while the team were very apologetic to Sergio Perez after Max Verstappen refused to let him through, the Mexican signed off with, "it shows who he really is." The cameras have spotted team boss Christian Horner having words with the two-time world champion.
Gold FFM C8RKH Posted November 13, 2022 Gold FFM Report Share Posted November 13, 2022 Red Bull made the call to ask Verstappen to let Perez past as the Mexican is chasing second spot in the drivers' standings. With Charles Leclerc finishing fourth, it was a case of damage limitation for Perez. Verstappen has already secured the drivers' title and so the extra points make no difference for him. But just one point separates Perez and Leclerc in the battle for second spot, meaning this could make the difference in the team's push for a 1-2 in the drivers' championship for the first time in their history. Perez was clearly deeply unimpressed with his team-mate's refusal to let him past. "Thank you for that guys, thank you," he told the team over the radio, before adding: "This shows who [Verstappen] really is." No doubt the post-race debrief will be an awkward one. Contrast that to the reaction of Hamilton who jubilantly congratulated Russell. As if Perez did not already know that Verstappen was a piece of work. 2 Quote I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.
