I am currently assembling my 907 Elite engine. I did not notice it when pulling it apart but the cam carriers appear to have no location dowels into the head. They float quite a bit on the studs when trial fitted. 

Am I missing something here? If there are no location dowels how can one be certain that the timing drive wheels on the front of the camshaft are truly square to the crankshaft? I guess I can set up a dial gauge mounted on the crank and sweep it across the drive wheel by slowly rotating the crankshaft but that should not be necessary in a properly engineered engine.
