Karls 51
I managed an under tray off and diffuser fitting with the car on axle stands so is an exhaust easy enough?
Bravo73 1,333
Depending on how long the exhaust has been on the car, the first time might be a bit of a pain. But after that, it will be pretty quick. (I’m presuming that you’re referring to just the silencer section. The full exhaust, including headers, is a much more involving job). Karls 51
Yes, just the silencer section. It’s a 2016 350 so hopefully nothing too corroded yet.
Kristof Thys 188
Should be straight forward; like Jonny says. 30 - 45 mins all in.

Gold FFM Doug Ashley 24 Posted November 6, 2020 Gold FFM Report Share Posted November 6, 2020 I'm thinking of fitting a new valved box to my 2014 Evora S. I've fitted exhausts before but never with a valve, is there anything I'd need to be particularly aware of when disconnecting/connecting the electrics?
mik 382
@Doug Ashley - worth a bit of research before you rush in. 2bular back-box sounds lovely (with various tip options that are more appealing than the oem pig-snout), but brings a pretty significant volume increase. 2bular manifolds & sports cat however raise the volume by a less significant amount, but definitely make the car punchier at higher rpm. Kristof Thys 188
@Doug Ashley the only extra step with a valved exhaust is you need to "pull the vacuum tube of your original exhaust and put it back on the aftermarket one". Takes at least an additional 15 seconds 😅...
Gold FFM Doug Ashley 24 Posted November 6, 2020 Gold FFM Report Share Posted November 6, 2020 @mik I'll be going for a 2bular back box only, it's fast enough for me as it is 😄 @Kristof Thys should be within my abilities... thanks 👍
Karls 51
What if you’re going from a standard system to non-valve? What do you do with the vacuum pipe - plug it?
Kristof Thys 188
Yes
