Andy Norman 76
Hi everyone. I’d like to do this to mine. I loved it on the 380 cup. Anyone done it? Simple? Idiots guide anywhere online? thank you.
Kristof Thys 182
As the wiper motor uses a park cam, you need to physically reclock the wiper arm to 12 o clock position. Because of this non-electronic "land mechanism", it happens that the wiper doesn't stop dead center, so few mm's off, which will show. Anyway, reclock the actuator arm with 13mm spanner and reset to 12 position on the motor spline. You might need to remove the fuse box and the wiper mechanism cover. Good luck, plz show us the final result. Edited July 28, 2020 by Kristof Thys wasn't clear - thanks for Dave clearifying
Woots 68
Does the 380 have a different wiper motor/cam then?
Kristof Thys 182
@Woots not as far as I know?
Seriouslylotus 444
DO NOT just move the wiper arm You need to move the arm on the motor If you move just the wiper arm it will go past the edge of the windscreen and cause damage Edited July 28, 2020 by Seriouslylotus
Kristof Thys 182
@Seriouslylotus Dave is absolutely right, sorry I wasn't clear in my explanantion. You need to reclock the actuator arm: loosen the 13mm nut that connects the arm on the motor (no need to take off) and loosen the arm from the motor spline. Then rotate the wiper and tighten. NANO 127
will he always stop straight at 12 o clock position ? will it always be in the center ? or sometimes it will remain a few centimeters further to the right or left ?
PJ 81
Hi Nano, as Kristof mentioned this could vary a bit not 100% accurate.
