Simon Goldthorpe 19
Apologies if this has been asked many times before, but being new to the Evora (GT430), I am struggling to see where you would put a phone. Any tips?

Gold FFM C8RKH 6,254 Posted October 1, 2020 Gold FFM Report Share Posted October 1, 2020 In the boot. A phone has no place in a Lotus sports car! Quote Alcohol. Sex. Tobacco. Drugs. Chocolate. Meh! NOTHING in this world is as addictive as an Evora +0. It's not for babies! The first guy to ride a bull for fun, was a true hero. The second man to follow him was truly nuts! r3nault 14
I’ve been wondering if anyone has changed their head unit to the flip out kind and freed up a dash cubby this way?
mg4lotus 136
In my pocket. It links to the head unit via bluetooth.
KJD 97
Get creative and make a bracket for a Brodit cradle. It’s all very well saying put the phone in the boot but CarPlay and Waze can be useful while you’re on the way to Hethel for that lap record attempt.
Counterdoc 53
@KJD is the bracket just clipped in there somehow? Very nice solution!
KJD 97
It’s held in with the radio screws. This is the other side for my Vi Monitor mid-manufacture. Gives you the idea.

Cdm2018 158
As I swapped to pioneer apple car play my phone goes into the glovebox as there’s a lead to connect and charge sorted
KJD 97
I’ve run the cable from the phone cradle into the glovebox to pick up the usb connector. I can break into it there to do updates, etc on the head unit. Having the phone in the glovebox won’t do much for reception, if that’s important to you, and occasionally it’s helpful to see the phone, even with carPlay.
JimH 45
Cheapskate but effective solution - they take a bit of perseverance with alcantara (probably better with leather) to get stuck on, but these work well on the sides of the centre console too...... Long lead to the glove box one side and a shorter one to the front cigarette lighter on the other..... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-Car-Auto-String-Mesh-Net-Bag-Storage-Pouch-For-Cell-phone-Gadget-Holder-WOR/333629758253 Edited October 2, 2020 by JimH

It sticks reasonably well to the carpeted centre console using velcro.
TdM 168
Is that a paper map? Haven't seen one of those for years...
Bruss 579
Similar position but I just velcro a phone case in to place.
RichardC 124
Paper maps for choosing where you want to go. Satnav to get you there.
