Steve1 62
Hello All Just one question about the 40 years celebration. Does this mean production started 40 years ago i.e 1967 because the thing is 1991 Lotus made the Excel Celebration to celebrate 25 years at Hethel which doesn't add up. So was the Excel wrong, or should the 40th have been last year P.S not moaning about the 40th, just wondering.....I know I,m sad
matk 17
I thought the Exel Celebration was just the run out Exel rather than any specific factory anniversary? Quote Regards Mat
nello 337
Agreed I thought it was a run-out edition Edited September 15, 2007 by nello
USAndretti42 308
That would make sense. 25 years off 1991 takes you back to 1976. Lotus definitely moved to Hethel in the 60's Quote S4 Elan, Elan +2S, Federal-spec, World Championship Edition S2 Esprit #42, S1 Elise, Excel SE
SwissV8 5
I thought the Hethel factory was opened in 1966, but the first production car rolled off the lines in 1967.... hence 40 years of production this year Quote Rob S
