pete 1,885
The Berkley bandit name from the 60's is being revived and built in Biggleswade on the same site as original , the old warden aerodrome. https://www.topgear.com/car-news/electric/berkeley-back-brand-new-bandit-GT-roadster 1 Quote hindsight: the science that is never wrong
Chillidoggy 4,382
The original Berkeley’s were not good, a mate of mine had one, and it was dreadful. These new ones look like Porsche styling exercises, nonetheless, I wish them all the best. Quote Margate Exotics.
Neal H 897
As a styling exercise, I like those.
USAndretti42 311
I was talking to a Berkley owner at the Stoney Stratford gatherng on New Year's day and he was claiming that the Berkley was the first car to have a GFRP monocoque and that Chapman bought one to steal its ideas. However, I seem to remember them having a significant amount of aluminium sheet in their construction so I don't think he was correct. Spinney 746
Good luck to them but I fear it will end up like so many other British sports car marque revivals and be doomed to failure before it really gets off the ground. I’m old enough to remember the originals and it’s fair to say they weren’t universally loved at that time so seems an odd marque name to revive. The days when somebody could start and make a success of a ground up company building affordable sports cars are long gone I’m afraid.

Gold FFM Colin P 675 Posted November 20, 2020 Gold FFM Report Share Posted November 20, 2020 Looks to me like someone has taken a Tesla front and fixed it to the back end of a 1960s Corvette. Quite like the back of the convertible. Quote A Lotus is for driving, pork is for breakfast.
