Got a reply today from them  as I had to resend my email as the previous one went missing.

They would need the dampers to fit the stepper motors, etc.

Cost for the kit is £3995 plus vat. That includes stepper motors, loom, ECU and dash.

Then whoever removed the dampers and sends them and then refitted  once converted and also  fitted the wiring etc, would also make a charge. I will have a chat to SWLC to see if the have ever done this.

The above costs assume that you already have the ttx ohlins already fitted.

Personally, if I was going down the Mechatronics path (and I did consider it briefly in the past), I would ask MGR to do the work.

They are, without a doubt, the stand-out experts in the field and for the price of a car transporter there and back, it would give me total piece of mind that the job was done properly.

That is worth bearing in mind, but now that we are in lockdown I don't think a trip to Yorkshire for this would be considered essential travel...

Hi @Birtyboy, did you manage to obtain any information on the Mechatronics system?

I have Ohlins TTX on my Exige already but would be very interested in being able to remote adjust the dampers from inside the car.

Thanks!

Hiya, just picked up on this and read through. I’ve not personally made any progression down this road. I’ve got mine booked in for it’s first service, exhaust valve switch and wheel alignment and once this is done will relook.

Wow @exeterjeep, that is expensive!

At some point my Ohlins will be going to MGR for a refurb so I will look into costs/fitting of the Mechatronics system then. But for that kind of money I think it would probably have to pass.

Out of interest, where would you mount the screen that controls the system?

A photo earlier in the thread it looks it is fitted into the glove box.

Certainly it was more expensive than I expected, would not be able to slip that in with a normal service.

I wonder if the screen could be made to fit in place of the radio?

As a way out suggestion, have it on a 'new' steering wheel, so you could adjust it for each corner you come to when driving, a bit like an F1 car, where you see the driver adjusting things every few seconds - not really a serious suggestion though..

I asked RRR Engineering a little while ago whether it was possible to control it via my ECUMaster ADU dash. That’s would be pretty cool. Haven’t heard yet whether that is in fact possible, but I expect not.

If the screen could be wired in place of the radio, that would be a good solution I think.

Welcome to TLF Steve.

Lovely looking Evora. I would love to know how many times I have seen this comment. 'It just felt right.' Might have to start a poll topic.
