Popular Post Al. 294
Well it was a news embargo and I had to keep lips sealed for the last few months as he was deep in planning it but Craig has given up his old premises just before Christmas and moved to a new location - not far away - with a lot more scope for him to expand in further and offer new services. I was lucky customer No.1 at the new place yesterday with the Evora (well only because drivers door lock shat itself and wouldn't open - Grrr) and he can be found just over the railway up the back of where Murray's used to be be still in the Sighthill Estate. 6 Bankhead Cross Way South, Sighthill Industrial Estate, Edinburgh, EH11 4EZ All the usual telephone numbers so no change. 0131 334 6085. [email protected] There is a back entrance lane but ALL customers must approach via the front street and reception. No workshop access is allowed he is afraid without being a) invited and b) accompanied. All to do with insurance, which was hard to enforce at the old place. The new place has a lovely and well fitted out reception and waiting room and it has a viewing gallery over the workshop if required. Workshop has the 4 lifts as before, but there is a also a new flush fit MOT 4 poster and rolling brake tester going in presently which will be up and running soon. Diagnostics bay and a lot of space to expand with further lifts if - when - required. Everything has been thought about with even the angled ramp in the workshop between levels being suitable for low Esprits at a 5 deg angle! Despite it being a very stressful 2 weeks "off" for him with up to 25 trades in the place over the festive period he was able to open on time yesterday and I had the usual exemplary and very fairly priced workshop visit. What a day to open though! Day 1 of a new Lockdown by Wee Nippy. I feel for him. How small businesses are supposed to survive in these times I don't know. Onwards and upwards though Craig!
