andydclements 814
I guess for the same reason you cannot just go for a drive, any journey has to be for for the purpose of "essential" journeys such as to shops, medical appointment etc.
Gold FFM Barrykearley 7,162 Posted January 11 Author Gold FFM Report Share Posted January 11 Not even allowed to drive to the supermarket on an essential trip. won’t be long and we will be seeing police issuing fines to parents and toddlers in parks learning to ride a bike. But still - the mosques and churches are exempt. 😳 Quote Only here once

PaulCP 732
On the subject of essential journeys, can anyone explain to me how garden centres are classified as essential at the moment. I get that they may have loosely been essential back in April/May, helping people cope by being outside doing some gardening, but in Jan/Feb? Ah well, that’ll be the next excuse then, “I’m just on my way to the garden centre officer to buy some essential compost and that oh so essential plant”

Included people run over, fallen off the roof etc. This is an interesting read regarding the reporting of numbers. https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/the-way-covid-deaths-are-being-counted-is-a-national-scandal The way deaths are reported changed in August so that article is partly, no longer valid. I asked my daughter about this subject as a COVID doctor and senior A&E doctor. I was pointed towards this little quote: "A COVID-19 death is defined for surveillance purposes as a death resulting from a clinically compatible illness in a scientifically confirmed COVID-19 case, unless there is a clear alternative cause of death that cannot be related to COVID-19 disease (e.g. trauma)." I would therefore think that your person being run over would be covered by Trauma? The 2020 figures have been delayed because of COVID, but the 2019 figures show 1870 deaths related to road incidents. So even if we look at every single person having been previously diagnosed with COVID that is still only 2% of the deaths. However if you then take into account that only people who have been diagnosed by a scientific test are counted, you have thousands of sudden unexpected deaths that were never counted because people didn't have a test. This number far outweighs the number of misdiagnosed deaths related to COVID, hence it is highly likely our figures are actually lower than they should be. 3 Quote Possibly save your life. Popular Post LotusLeftLotusRight 1,416
Whitty said this morning that at the height of the April 2020 wave, we had 18000 people in English hospitals with CV-19 symptoms. That figure is now 30000. I personally think it is irresponsible to keep questioning the published NHS figures and posting about it on-line at this time. So what if there are some errors in there, the general steeply upward trend in new hospital admissions is clearly very worrying. 2

It’s good to see that they have all apparently recovered from their mental health issues. I hope they don’t flair up again next weekend. One of our other neighbours thinks their disappearance might have more to do with the previously announced imminent visit by the landlord, so that they can pull the wool over his eyes and pretend that they’re doing nothing wrong... I think he may be right.

SFO 228
I think the more accurate indicator of CV19 deaths is excess deaths over the average of 5 previous years total. looking at those, the death toll in March 2020 is much worse than now .. granted we are still in the middle of the wave Edited January 11 by SFO

I was questioning the effectiveness of the Flu jab and it turns out its been working much better than anyone could have predicted according to the WHO. Basically flu has been wiped out! I suppose the good thing we can take from this if we are able to stamp out Flu we should be able to do the same for the Crapola. Neal H 914
It may be the consensus, but it’s one reached without being allowed to properly investigate the outbreak. What are the Chinese hiding and why is the WHO being so complicit? Is it a coincidence that the worlds leading Coronavirus research facility is based in Wuhan? Possibly. But there are no plans by the WHO to investigate this as a possible source of the outbreak.

Things have got an awful lot worse in the past 5 weeks. Look how fast the April fatalities shot up: from normal to peak deaths in 3 weeks. We’re probably in that phase now. Gold FFM Techyd 251 Posted January 11 Gold FFM Report Share Posted January 11 It is in my mind, highly suspicious.... That the WHO have not been allowed in to investigate the virus origins is very concerning, I'm sure many of you have read this article from last month?? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-55364445 China is very tightly controlled country so this may simply be the government continuing to exercise its unblinkered controlling policies over its media, foreign media access and its general population. But frankly, from where I'm sitting, it's really difficult to conclude anything but a cover up!!

Gold FFM C8RKH 6,767 Posted January 11 Gold FFM Report Share Posted January 11 I agree with the Chinese media. It is absolutely nuts to vaccinate the elderly first. Bonkers. First, all front line health workers and care workers including those who work in care homes - that way, they will not transmit COVID to the their residents who don't go anywhere so should be safe UNTIL it is brought in to the care home from outside. Carers in "bubbles" for elderly who live at home should be vaccinated too. Second, the police and fire service and all teachers (and caretakers, dinner ladies etc) - once vaccinated they can teach the little biohazards with no fear of catching the COVID from them Third - everyone who has a job, except, Politicians. I said a job. Fourth - the elderly Fifth - anyone who is left Sixth - Politicians This approach will keep the elderly safe through limiting their exposure to anyone not vaccinated. Will allow people to get back to work to drive the economy whilst their kids are being taught at school. Then will allow everyone else to start to roam as needed with minimal risk to exposure at that point. 1 1 Quote Alcohol. Sex. Tobacco. Drugs. Chocolate. Meh!
