Trebor_UK
So my car should have been completed week 28, then slipped to week 29, but now estimated week 38 - so end of September with collection in October if it doesn't slip further. I'm sure it will be worth the wait .. ... might just have to order some more merchandise in the meantime. Summer shutdown, I hadn't figured that in. Probably explains some of the slip, so hopefully not waiting on too may parts to get it finished. Softtop roof's I know are limited but unsure what else may be an issue. Either way, I'm sure the smile when it arrives will be worth it and the delays will soon be forgotten when I start driving it. Woodman
Well mine was a week 47 November build and it arrived at the dealer on Thursday!! Was a bit of a surprise, but a nice one😀. As has been said elsewhere Lotus have no soft tops, so supplied with a Matt black FOC Hardtop with the soft top to follow. I may see if I can get the Hard top sprayed but as I wasnt going to get one perhaps not - Now considering PPF and ceramic. Not an area I know much about. Apparently Lotus PPF the rear clam? If the whole car is PPF covered is there any point in having a ceramic coating?
Bibs
Makes it easier to clean. There are ceramic coatings made just for cars with PPF too eg - https://www.drbeasleys.com/blog/2019/05/10/4-reasons-why-you-absolutely-need-a-ceramic-coating-on-ppf Quote 88 Esprit NA, 89 Esprit Turbo SE, Evora, Evora S, Evora IPS, Evora S IPS, Evora S IPS SR, Evora 400, Elise S1, Elise S1 111s, Evora GT410 Sport Evora NA For forum issues, please contact the Moderators. Woodman
I am being offered PPF options of nose, spoiler a few front bumper or full front clam. My concern is that the former doesn’t cover the front ‘bonnet’ below the black vent grills. Being low I assume that’s quite prone to stone chips? Inversed
If official PPF is being offered, then you should hopefully find what parts are covered in this diagram: https://parts.lotuscars.com/a/Lotus_2021_Elise-2ZR---SC-S3---S-Club-RacerSport-220Sprint-220/_83814_9107877/Decals--Badges-amp-Protective-Film--Elise-2011-MY/Elise_C120T0325D_11_MY_1205a.html
Popular Post Trebor_UK
Not long to wait now, car arrived with dealer last week. Gone off for PPF and ceramic coating. Hope to be collecting around the end of the month. Hoping for some decent weather in November to get the running in miles done and get acquainted with the car. 4 1 Quote 2021 Lotus Elise Sport 240 FE in Solid Red, Red Interior Colour Pack, AirCon, Floor Mats, Cruise Control, Stereo, Satin Anthracite 10-spoke forged wheels. Popular Post Trebor_UK
Collected from Central Lotus on Saturday lunchtime. Horrendous weather for the trip up but the sun came out for the drive home. Absolutely loving it so far, although today it tried to be a road sweeper and has collected quite an amount of assorted twigs, leaves, moss etc in the side pods and front grill 4 1 Quote 2021 Lotus Elise Sport 240 FE in Solid Red, Red Interior Colour Pack, AirCon, Floor Mats, Cruise Control, Stereo, Satin Anthracite 10-spoke forged wheels. PR35H
What a Wally 🤭 He ordered the wrong colour & trim combo. Not the fault of Lotus. He didn’t read the stereo instructions so couldn’t use his phone or play music. Not the fault of Lotus. He’s a little bit chubby and struggled to get into it. Not the fault of Lotus. He wanted to use it as Grand Tourer instead of a Sports Car and struggled with luggage space and long drives on motorways. Not the fault of Lotus. But hang on … after the run in mileage service and when he got it on proper roads he loved it and described it as superb.

Gold FFM C8RKH Posted January 9 Gold FFM Report Share Posted January 9 I didn't make it past the first 2m 30s. The guy just came across as a prat. I had to close down the video. Gold FFM MJON Posted January 9 Gold FFM Report Share Posted January 9 To many of them out there making these videos. There are a few worthy ones though. Harry Metcalfe probably one of my favourites, he has a in-depth car knowledge, presents really well, just sold his Esprit and has a Emira on order. So will look forward to his offering. He has some amazing cars and clearly has the moolah to keep buying them (or they keep sending them). I watched his 'I'm going to buy a lotus elise' video a few months ago and he came across as a spoilt brat. He bought it on a whim, didn't do his research properly, and then moaned lots (online) when he received it to the point of Lotus going out their way to try and 'fix' things, with a special visit and a few laps of their circuit. Buying my first Lotus was a lifelong dream which for various reasons some 'life stuff' always got in the way. Having waited since February last year my 240 is waiting at B&C being prepped for delivery. I am so excited and rightly so - I am sure my experience will be very different to his, partly due to having saved up for a long time, doing my research and buying what I've always wanted. This guy sounds like he has many first world problems...lol 6
Techyd
You are going to love your Elise @5pence ! Drove mine for the first time in almost two months at the weekend (in the rain too!) and it just reminds me how good are to drive, at any speed. They are certainly exhausting to drive over long distance but it just feels like such an event! Looking forward to see pics of your new car and hearing your thoughts!

Likewise - after putting posters of the Esprit up on my bedroom wall as a teenager, having a neighbour with an S1 Elise in 2000, it took me until the start of last year to finally decide that the time had finally come to get one .... then as I was trying to sort it the news broke about the end of production and the Final Editions. In Feb 2021 I secured a 240FE build slot and picked it up at the end of October. Absolutely loving it. Still occasionally open the garage door, stare in, smile and pinch myself to make sure its not a dream. The excitement is there every time I get in and fire it up. Gold FFM Popular Post 5pence Posted January 11 Author Gold FFM Popular Post Report Share Posted January 11 I went for 'evora' silver, I was very tempted with red, when I saw all the different colours on the cars I liked them all (though dodge stir crazy purple i wasn't sure about). I'm in Northern Ireland so green or orange are a tad loaded and could be targeted (literally) for the wrong reasons! I j guess it arrived in the snow but is being prepped now. 3
