Well.... I test drove it and have bought it. What a fantastic little car. And what massive smiles it gave me today. New dash is great. Really adds a nice modern touch without a car having to be full o

No idea of difference with leather or carbon fibre but after many years of S1 ownership the FE is easy to slide into - the aim dash is simple and effective- no idea of lights on change yet as need to

Is that Solid Yellow?

Great to see Alex Goy back in an Elise, he and Henry Catchpole are such great motoring journalists and Alex was always a Lotus fan.

I hadn't driven an Elise for 20 years so drove the 220 this week. Car is the same but so different in the key areas for me of build quality, lack of squeaks and rattles etc. Soundproofing and the twin roof make the car very drivable - would happily do 300 miles in it. Gearchange is as good if not better than the best I have driven so slick and quick. Suspension has that crazy Lotus witchcraft - just flows over rough roads that upset almost every modern car. That is what really struck me, the car feels like you could launch it today as new car and every journo would be raving about how it drove. It just hasn't dated at all. very pleased to have secured a slot just need to decide the colour,  I hate, hate, hate  being flashy but then metallic orange and yellow look soo good! Seriously didn't want to give the car back after the test so can totally understand locking the keys away.........

Drove my caterham straight after and its a very interesting comparison! both brilliant but clear differences.

Yes. It’s the solid yellow. I was the same about not wanting a flashy colour. I decided I wanted something bright and fun though yellow and orange were my two favourite colours in the end. Good luck choosing!!

I see, so you can't get these from factory.

I don’t believe you can. A good dealership should be able to sort this for you though. They do look good against the wheels

No not keen TBH as hate cleaning cars

I must admit I’ve never washed a car so many times as I have with this one. The novelty must wear off soon?!
Car cover arrived today from the forum shop. The wife thinks I’ve lost the plot!😋
