Tiny Bubbles..... - Interior/Exterior/Lights/Glass/Alarms/ICE/HVAC/Other - The Lotus Forums #ForTheOwners Jump to content

Hi All,

So......I've now learnt my lesson.

She was under a car cover over winter.....and when having a close look around today, she has 6 tiny bubbles on the edge of the rear clam edge where it meets the door shut line.

Now. I am very very tempted to pop the bubbles with a tiny needle and use a bit of touch up paint, or squirt some glue with a syringe into the bubble and close it.

Or......Wait until summer and see if they go naturally?

Anyone tried either? Seems mixed advice in othe topics?

Lesson here....don't use waterproof outside car covers!!!

Unfortunate lesson to have to learn sorry !

I have tried not to use my outdoor cover unless I know there’s going to a long spell of sub zero snowy weather

incidentally I might have to use the cover in summer to protect from tree sap and certainly after I am going to try my inept hand at car detailing 😮

I have no garage so the car has to sit out the elements however I wonder if this might be better than using the covers as it could be more problematic in long run ?

I make sure that the car always gets hit by the sun to help it dry out when I have my cover on. The covers will never be as waterproof or dry as they only cover the top and sides are covered but they are good at keeping the cars clean and free of airborne pollutants such as bird poop and tree sap.

I would leave them to the summer myself.

Mine has a minor imperfection in the same place. I think the mositure gets between the panels and causes it. But it's just a theory...

Did you have yours under a cover as well?

Fingers crossed summer does the trick!
