It's  not difficult to remove the plenum and explained pretty clearly in the Service Notes.   Just be careful as you will have fuel connections to remove.

You might want to consider re-doing both plenum and cam covers and be free to choose a suitable colour/shade.   Lotus used a variety of finishes over time, so matching either crinkle or splatter finished may not be easy.

I would not recommend stripping the cam covers as there is risk of debris getting behind the baffles inside which are a riveted in place so not easy to refix if you remove them to clean behind.

Ask me how i know ???

I would agree that if you do strip them, then clearing behind the baffles is essential.  The rivets can be removed and tapped carefully to a minimum safe depth.  I was forced to do this on Simon's engine as someone had sprayed inside the cam covers and the paint was coming off.   With care, removing the rivets and tapping is a good option.

Nice but i hope they did a good job of sealing the inside surfaces.

Usually for re powder coating , the old finish has to be removed in an acid bath then washed off and this can contaminate inside the covers above the baffles.
