Rear window trim fitting

Recommended Posts

I’m test fitting the original rear tailgate window on my S1 and it seems too big for the new silver trim to fit it properly .

The silver trim has a raised edge running down the middle of the underside which allows the corner pieces to slot in . The problem is that if I allow enough space on the right side for that edge to clear the glass, the other side gap is too small .

has anyone else had this issue ?

The minimum gap seems to be 10mm to allow the trim to fit flush . You can see the issue here .

It seems toughened glass can’t be sanded or cut so I see no way of getting it to fit 😕
