Hi Members. My english is not the best, but i hope you understand me. I want to buy an Eclat.  Unfortunately, the car has no title and i have no technical Information about this car. But i have the car identification Number. Is here anybody, to decrypt this number?
I also want to know what engine inside and if it a normal Eclat or some Special.
Hope you understand me.
I know it is an  automatic

912 is the 2.2 litre engine

.. the series 2 cars do not have the 501.... options that was for the 2 litre cars.

 

s2 cars are quite rare - i expect you may know that.

 

I had 2 many years ago.

Very difficult to assess, having no title and an auto makes it more difficult. Whereabouts is the car.

Search the forum as well where you will find more information.  Note that the S2 had a galvanised chassis so it is less likely to rust and generally better build quality than the early cars.  The headlights were raised by electric motors rather than manifold vacuum and tended to be better behaved as a result.
