Excessive rear camber in stock 410

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I got a tool to measure camber, and I was quite surprised with the results, almost 3 negative degrees on the rear axle. AFAIK the stock rear camber in the 380/410/430 is -2.15 +-0.15

is this normal?

PS: the result measuring it from the brake discs or the week cap is practically the same

As a fellow 410 owner (4 months in only), who is still a novice when it comes to understanding suspension, geo, etc., can I ask what impact the relative camber has on the behaviour of the car on the road (or track)? I ask, because I experience a 'skipping' back end on anything other than reasonable quality roads with the standard suspension/geo set up ... guessing there's a thread as I write this but thought it may be a relevant question for those looking at this too.

Thank you.

Hi, negative camber is used to generate a "steering force" in the direction of the car (inner tire diameter smaller than outer) even if the tire is rolling straight. It makes the car more stable on the rear axle.

The camber is too high in the case above (measured exactly?).

What do you mean with skipping back end exactly?
