ramjet
I thought the Porsche votes might be people that think the Emira will break just because the sun rises each day. Rambo
I see this guy never managed to sell his Emira. I wonder if he cancelled his order once he realised there were no suckers? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275254449650

Mark Blanchard
So is Lotus ditching the Merc 4 pot and Toyota V6 from the Emira next year? Sounds very odd as they've only just started making them. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2022/06/28/lotus-stop-making-new-petrol-car-models-next-year/#comment Quote Mark www.lotusespritturbo.com
Mctaff
It is just nuance in the meaning of “New models” vs continued production of “existing” emira? I note it mentions “phase out” and “from” next year too in the intro. I haven’t got access to the paywall so can only see the first paragraph… Edited June 28 by Mctaff

Hmm, not quite agreeing with that statement. I placed an order for the Emira after having 911 and Caymans for the last 20 years. Certainly lots of enthusiast on the Porsche side of things, especially with the Cayman, judging at all those Porsche Club events, from track days to Autocross over the same period. I think the Emira is the first non-Porsche I and other Porsche fan consider by being more mature and not just appealing to the 10% die hard track junkies. It's a car I know I can take my wife on a road trip and she will enjoy it, as well as taking to Autocross and track days.
Mark Blanchard
"All new Lotus production vehicles from 2023 will be fully electric." Ah maybe they're saying the Emira won't be new in 2023, as it was released in 2022, so they can carry on producing it. tim_marra
Yes, the Emira will be an existing production car not a new one in 2023 👍

Jack Stone
Anyone know what sort of delivery guidance Lotus Cars quotes for a UK customer ordering now (I4 FE if there are any left)? H1 2024? Gold FFM TomE Posted July 30 Gold FFM Report Share Posted July 30 It's 65-75 weeks at the moment, because of the delay to first customer deliveries and further deposits after the Top Gear feature. I expect it'll lengthen further after UK dealer demo cars arrive in mid August, as all dealers have lists of people waiting for test drives who haven't yet placed a deposit. 1

Gold FFM TomE Posted Sunday at 16:17 Gold FFM Report Share Posted Sunday at 16:17 It's 84 weeks to 20 March 2024, the first day of Spring - wow! Previously Lotus used the definition of "Spring" to count right up to late June, which would be 97 weeks, but let's hope it's early Spring.

Jack Stone Posted Monday at 07:18 Report Share Posted Monday at 07:18 Thanks. It's the original JPS Team Lotus transporter from early to late 1970s. Now parked in a side road near Chertsey.
