ChrisRobin
Hi forum members, please let me know if I'm posting in the wrong section and I'll change it. So - I've been looking for a reasonable priced Lotus Elise 111R every day for about three months now, and today I found a Elise 111R for €20k. And with that price of course there is going to be downsides, let me list some of them: *"upper chassis beam" has been replaced with an original part - I think this is the main reason for the price, but to be honest I'm not too sure why, so if someone know, please enlighten me! *RHD to LHD "professional" conversion. *A print on the car that says the company name, sucks but might foil/wrap the car either way. Could possibly remove the text and do some polishing maybe. *12,8k Swedish "mil", (80k miles), (sorry for that weird conversion). And that's pretty much it - would you say I should avoid this or do I shoot my shot? My Lotus savings are just enough for this price.. ANY feedback is greatly appreciated, thank you. ramjet
Welcome to TLF. Do you have any sort of automobile club there that could go over the car for you? Private or via a dealer? Was the chassis beam replacement due to a collision? Ask to see the paperwork covering the LHD conversion. Others will come along shortly and will give you more/better information than myself as I have not owned an Elise. Anyway, any questions or issues with using the forums, feel free to ask one of us mods. We're here to help.
