I'm pretty sure these blue cars are homologation vehicles. There are some other post sales cars in other colours as well for training etc.

Apparently this is the main blue car we saw at Goodwood AFTER they retrieved it from a showing in Liverpool. 😁

When they crash tested the Evora they found it was so strong after some tests they could re-use the chassis and just swap out the front sub-frame.  If they can manage the same with the Emira then perhaps fewer cars will be written off to prove what the computer simulations probably already show.

This is the Evora they used for both the frontal impact and pedestrian impact tests - seems they were all "crash test yellow" back then:

Wing struts look odd though. Looks like they lean forward in the first photo. I don't really like the struts that look like shepherd's hooks.

Well that looks much better - more aggressive styling, not sure about the paint scheme though. But just 400bhp seems a little less than I thought they would be capable of.  But a road version with a similar aero and 430-450 bhp would be a fitting car to replace the evora gt430

Yeah, not enough info there. It is possible the vertical struts move down into the body but no way to tell.

Is it not a Lotus thing to keep these fixed anyway - as part of an overall tested aero design?

The Lambo uses internal air redirect through the wing, and varies the air pressure over and under the wing in a straight line and corners which acts like an air anti sway bar.
The system also controls the front splitter area all done with internal actuators quite clever.

Not sure I'd actually want to buy a track battered old GT4 car if one ever comes available but it would be pretty cool.
