Popular Post Jack Stone
Almost forgotten what it was like to go to a Lotus "dealer" and see a new car there. Here's Hendy Performance Eastleigh's Seneca/blackpack looking lubbly jubbly on silver rims and Goodyears with Sport setup... 6 Quote But remember one thing: don't lose your head to a woman that'll spend your bread: Lotus Turbo Esprit (89-11); Lotus Esprit GT3 (12-14): Lotus Evora S (14-17); Lotus Esprit V8 SE "UK Last 15" (18-...) Gold FFM Popular Post TomE Posted November 20, 2022 Gold FFM Popular Post Report Share Posted November 20, 2022 From our Newlands Corner breakfast meet today. Nimbus Grey is Bell & Colvill's demo car and Hethel Yellow is a factory press car (production spec).
New Emira
Nimbus Grey looks fantastic. I am still undecided on whether to opt for privacy glass. I like the view of the engine cover but on the other hand the darker glass gives the car more presence. How does the demo car look in the flesh without it ? How does the demo car look in the flesh without it ? I think it looks great without the privacy glass. Not only does it give you a clearer view of the engine but I think the side profile of the car looks better with the rear quarter window clear rather than dark. But it's very much down to personal preference and depends on the colour of the car and whether you have full black pack too.
New Emira
Thanks TomE you have confirmed my thoughts. I am going for Nimbus, black pack and black wheels which is probably enough black overall and the glass is still tinted.
exeterjeep
The Hendy Exeter car looked good in Nimbus when I saw it parked outside yesterday.

If I'd spent £75/80k on a new car I'd want to show off the engine. And what is there to hide from the rear quarter windows? No one goes in the back seat 🤣

The view through the rear window with privacy glass, still gives a decent view of the engine. More than I thought it would, and the car looks so much better with the privacy glass. It gives the car a more finished look!👍
Rambo
Personally, I think the privacy car makes the car looks more disjointed, but each to their own viewpoint. There was a very good video by someone on here who had about 6 different colours of cars arranged at Hethel which showed this. He didn't like the privacy glass either Edited November 20, 2022 by Rambo Sp.

Gold FFM TomE Posted November 26, 2022 Gold FFM Report Share Posted November 26, 2022 That’s got the wrong mirrors! Is that why it hasn’t been handed over yet? Looks nice. The black leather interior is my spec and I’ve not seen it yet, so appreciate the pics.
