As I started this question I thought I make a contribution

watched the reviews on u tube mixed bag but I think generally positive , I think there’s a feeling that newer owner to lotus brand will feel able to make the choice away from other mainstream makers

one thing or actually a few but one thing I bought my Evora for it’s rarity factor and still cherish this trait.
I was surprised to hear reviews still suggest the Evora ride and lightness was apparent when compared

I do love the interior of Emira especially given my car is suffering and it’s workmanship quality control at source if this which should be easily fixable before leaving factory ?

I am sure the new owners will be happy but I wonder in years to come will they jump into an old Evora and wonder what if ?????

Thing is used values is a fluid situation. Obvious conflict between low mileage Evora GT410 and new Emira at around the same cost but big difference is you can get an Evora for this summer, it’s a long wait if you want an Emira and don’t already have an order in. I think quite a few will try their luck at flipping them but I can’t see many getting ‘overs’ but that remains to be seen. Strong Emira values can only help make the Evora look better value.

GT430 values bottomed out at around the mid £70k mark but more recent asking prices have been over £90k and the cars haven’t sat around. Rightly so for what must be the ultimate Evora if not ultimate modern Lotus. One of 60 is only going to look rarer with every year Lotus increases production. They made 10x the number of 599 GTOs!  Criminally scrapping the Evora Final Edition can only have helped but if GT430 values hold firm it should help GT410s too. For £20k less they are fantastic to drive, very capable on track (very important for future values) ultra rare in their own right and now the last of their kind. Then again most of that applies to the original Sport 410 still underrated even here. Can’t see why anyone would pay more for an Evora 400 but there you go.

60!!! Bl**dy common those are! Want to get yourself and NA sports racer, that's where the rarity sits 😉

I was very tempted by the Emira when it was first unveiled but then cooled. Since then I keep wondering if I should have dived in but my head has finally won out over my heart. Despite owning an Evora, I’ve never been totally sold on the looks and feel it has quite a few awkward viewing angles on it. The Emira looks, however, I’m completely hooked on and just think it looks so much more resolved than my Evora.

As for the Emira interior, I’m not a fan of touchscreens in cars and, lack of oddments storage aside, I actually much prefer my Evora. I realise I’m probably one of the few with that particular view but I just think it’s a nice place to be, with very few distractions. I have managed to concoct some oddments storage of my own, on the outside of each seat base and netting attached to the tunnel on the passenger side, which all helps though. The area where the +2 seats are is obviously useful but not easy to access whilst driving.

When all is said and done the Emira, very pretty though it is, just wouldn’t give me any significant improvement over my Evora. And as others have said, I’m sure the rarity value will play it’s part in future Evora values. I desperately want the Emira to be a huge sales success but mainly because I want Lotus, a marque I’ve loved for around 60 years, to grow and prosper. That success, though, will surely have a downward pressure on residuals won’t it?

My sentiments, although I don’t own an Evora.

Indeed!  I am now always on the look out for the tell tale sign of the passenger or drivers window being wound down as I approach them or as they approach me.  The next set of traffic lights usually presents the opportunity for a quick chat from an Evora or Lotus fan.

I note it’s been since June since a comment, and as much as the EMIRA is a fantastic design and by accounts is selling very well.

Am I alone in thinking that the Emira is a bit generic, where as the EVORA in later post 400 guise is more aggressive and is the last of pure LOTUS

As per another post, I’m here now looking to buy an Evora because of the Emira.

After watching Harry’s garage review and going to Goodwood this year I was up to placing my order, then the two year wait stopped me in my tracks. Then the price was moving too, not such a great proposition after all. I have my Esprit but want a modern sports car for regular use now our family car is a lumbering 4x4, the Evora fits because I’m not a Porsche lover and R8 too detached for my liking. I have concerns over the Evora price going forward and feeling uneasy with the current prices but if more people think like me the prices can go up 😬
