I notice members are talking about wanting a base spec and then adding the options that they really want and not those added on as part of the  Launch Edition.

Some of these are current offerings, some may come in the September update and some are pure wishlist :)

Hopefully, Lotus read this and take note!

You can choose more than one. You'll have to guestimate the additional cost to you and decide if is really worth it. Some I have put prices you'd HAVE to pay.

If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it.

30mph increase in top speed for 1750? Not sure I see how that would be possible :D

That said, my vote goes to the service plan (I think there should be an option to have all services included in the price). Having extended warranty and service packs available really takes away the worry of unexpected high expenses.

It's much easier to budget for a fixed amount. It's probably also keeps resale values higher because a car is "guaranteed" to be good which in turn also benefits new sales if the depreciation is low. It's also a nice guaranteed income stream for Lotus because cars will have to be dealer maintained.

There is a reason Ferrari has a 7 year warranty on their cars.

I've seen those options somewhere else I believe 😂

The options I'm hoping for: Forged Alloys, Calipers, Convenience(unless camera is standard), KEF Audio and PPF/Ceramic

I'd consider a paint option depending on colours and an extended warranty.

For me, that absolute essentials (talking about the V6) are:

KEF Stereo

Coloured Brake Calipers

Alcantara Wheel with top-centre coloured stripe

Car Cover

PPF Protection

Nice to have:

Carbon Seats

Premium Paint Options

+30 BHP Power Increase (£1750)

Bespoke Rear Seat Luggage in Leather (£1250)

3 Year Service Plan and total of 5 Years Warranty (£3250)

Not fussed about:

Targa Roof (£3500)

Rear Spoiler

Titanium Exhaust System (£3500)

Ohlins Suspension (£3000)

How is the "No mesh covering / deletion of mesh guard / removable mesh guard" for the exposed manual gear knob not a listed option, I am dissapointed 😅???

I thought that it would never be an option BUT I will seek to remove it myself - or - try and get the factory to NOT add it in the first place if I can 'interrupt' the build.

The other 'option' I missed is a Carbon version of the two air ducts. At £500.00 extra I would definitely have them.

If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it.

Unlikely due to the Elf & Safety Taliban. That would open Lotus to claims later when a toddler loses a finger. Having it easily removable however isn’t ‘illegal’ 😎

I'd settle for that.

It will never look as cool as it does in the Exige but still cool AF.

Probably the most stupid question ever, but...

How will the key fob look like? 🤔

Little bit off topic, I know, but @ Porsche you can choose colors as an option etc... Maybe too posh 4 a Lotus?

(old school forum guys are rolling their eyes at 2000 RPM 😅 )

But, if I was going to guess, I’d have a look at current Volvo key fobs/cards/tabs.

I hear ya. The experience of the Emira starts the moment you pick the keys up from inside your home.

I think it is an important part of the package. Let's see.

Seems silly, but its those little details that also help a brand with 'perceived' quality.  A well made and "cool" key fob suggests that no detail has been overlooked, no matter how small.

I am sure I heard it was keyless ignition, so in the pocket it can stay and just get it out at the bar to show off 😄

The other option I forgot to mention was Ceramic Brakes.

Not sure they are worth the extra for road use. The main reason I would like them is to help avoid brake dust build up. I will be getting black wheels on both anyway.

If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it.

With Lotus targeting a new market with the Emira, elements like the key fobs really do matter; it won't do much for the perceived quality if your car's fob looks like a rebranded Ford Transit van affair, and your mates' fobs look like this...coolfobs.thumb.jpg.feec45b6ae8337da234482565ad0f63e.jpg
