Would you wait longer for the right colour?

Awesome. I’m in love with my new car right there!  I have been asked numerous times over last 10 years if my  Evora’s in Ardent Red with SR black packs are’s Ferrari’s and thought how can you mistake that unless you know nothing about cars. BUT that does look like a Ferrari.

@glen8 That's a mighty good job, sir! 🙂

And my God... This is absolutely gorgeous! It's merely impossible that Lotus ain't going to use this colour for the Emira! 🤤

In that clip, a bit later, the Emira is outside on track filmed from behind.

Can you photoshop that also in this red? 😃

Yeah I'll have a play around

I agree!  Perhaps that’s why Lotus aren’t offering a Ferrari-like red as an option :)

I think the best solution is for Lotus to tell us an existing car out there which has almost identical paint - if they even know this.

I think the red and green are the hardest to ascertain.

That would be helpful, especially if the real world paint color is close enough to something out there in the wild.  Real world photos in varying light would be better than basing it off the configurator, or a 6 inch square tile 😉

Yeah, I'll have a go.  I'm in work today, so will be later tonight.  Doing yellow first, but chrome orange shouldn't be a problem.  I'm no expert though, might come out horrible lol

Are you doing flat Hethel Yellow or sparkly Pearl Yellow ;)

Look forward to seeing your further examples, great work so far!  Maybe we should start a colours thread...

I'm kicking myself that I didn't remove the first edition badge, as solid red isn't a first edition colour.  Next time!

whatever I can get to work yellow.  My first attempt came out "too much milk in the custard yellow"

I'll get a good one.

Imagine if dark verdant looks a bit like this 😍

I hope not. That is far too dark for my taste  but a nice colour overall.

... And maybe the Italians donated their Rosso Magma and Lotus named it Magma Red. 😃

That does look the nuts.

I was hoping it was more like the Rosso Fuoco from Ferrari.

If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it.

You say that but we don't really know. I am cautiously optimistic.

I just have no idea if I will go for Green or the red for the V6.

best I can do I'm afraid

Again, mighty fine! If the cars IRL look like this, it won't be easy to pick a colour.

If Lotus now can deliver a reliable and quality car, I can't imagine any other vehicle in this price range that can top this.

That Orange looks the nuts. That would sell well even at a premium of say 2k.

Different enough from the McLaren orange too.

Am I right in saying that a WRAP is as good as putting PPF on the car - in terms of paint protection.

Just thinking maybe instead of worrying about the colour and then PPFing it with Ceramic coating I can just di a wrap in the colour I want and leave it at that.

Or do you still have to protect the car/wrap?

If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it.
