Emiralust
I had my heart set on yellow but now looking at the great sample photographs provided by everybody above, It looks like the non metallic yellow will dull the sharp angles on the Emira too much for my liking which is a shame. I think the metallics look very luxurious, revisiting the configurator I can see they have tried to show this on the yellow when you compare the door and front arch lines between red and yellow. Sounds like we will see painted shells before we have to truly bite the bullet on the colour anyway so one to stress about another day. Great pictures again, thank you
simonb
the darker that green sex toy looks, the more I like it
Gold FFM MJON Posted October 30, 2021 Gold FFM Report Share Posted October 30, 2021 Great photos, many thanks everyone. I agree the Nimbus looks the most consistent in varied lighting, but that Red 💥 really striking and just think the green with no top black-pack and gold wheels would be classic. Lots of time to choose though. 🤒
Popular Post Bibs
Some DSLR images of the Emira speedforms at Hethel this week. I've processed them and kept everything as neutral as possible but as ever, eyes and cameras do see things differently and as we know, different lighting really affects the look of the colours. 4 Quote 88 Esprit NA, 89 Esprit Turbo SE, Evora, Evora S, Evora IPS, Evora S IPS, Evora S IPS SR, Evora 400, Elise S1, Elise S1 111s, Evora GT410 Sport Evora NA For forum issues, please contact the Moderators. Popular Post Demolitionman13
I was at Hethel this morning and I turned the green shell over. On the label it said Verdant green (Empire green). 3

Gold FFM Popular Post Sizona Posted October 30, 2021 Gold FFM Popular Post Report Share Posted October 30, 2021 Quick report. Took a trip to Hethel yesterday for the roadshow, my favourite place in the world! Interestingly of the six cars in the car park for the event there were 4 P cars. Hopefully they'll come aboard! Tremendous start to the building changes especially the new building in front of the original offices, excellently designed and done. The Emira looked lovely there, great to see as per Bibs post the colours on the larger speed forms. Have to say the Dark Verdant look much better than the small disc. Took the speed forms outside in the sun, still no nearer to deciding my colours yet though! I've seen the car couple of times before (Goodwood and B&C) and still managed to spot things I had missed, small design details that add to the overall package. The front shaping of the bonnet when it reaches the windscreen being one and the lack of rubber weatherproof strips on the rear quarter windows being another, The weather proof strips are behind the body so not seen. Nice. Really good speeches by both Graeme and Scott, very informative and accomplished must say. The describing of the car including what we cannot see from the outside of it was great. Had no idea there is so much aero under the skin and around the intakes and louvres, nice to see the passion they both have for the car and Lotus. Lots of others on hand to chat to as well. Jaimie, Callum, Nick and others, all very helpful. Looking forward to next year and Emira delivery.

sonu
How long does the Hethel road show last?
Gold FFM TomE Posted October 31, 2021 Gold FFM Report Share Posted October 31, 2021 Events at Hethel ran to 30 Oct. There were extra venues/dates added as well in Essex and London in Oct/Nov, as well as the planned events in Altrincham and Silverstone. If you have a deposit or are on the "keep me informed" mailing list you should have had an email about the extra dates 1-2 weeks ago. Wake
Argh. I was pretty set on the Yellow. The red looks a lot brighter than I initially thought, and the blue looks really good as well. Whilst the yellow looks quite underwhelming.
bosshog
I had that yellow on my Evora 410. It’s ok but I never was blown away with it being a flat colour. Metallic looks much better IMO in the right colour. Yellow really suits the car though. Maybe they will do the solar yellow again down the road buts it’s a difficult one to spray. Gold FFM DaveC72 Posted November 1, 2021 Gold FFM Report Share Posted November 1, 2021 Weird. I always thought the Yellow looked epic on your car Wayne. Horses for courses.

Just a shame it wasn't metalic to give it the pop and shine to show the curves off more. Its a really flat yellow. Draws a lot of attention though. LotusLeftLotusRight
Just walked past Lotus Silverstone as they were unloading the blue Emira from the race transporter. They’re very busy setting up, so I left them to it. Good news for visitors: they are borrowing the car park opposite, which will help enormously.
Speedluvver
Will post a pic later… but I have saffron yellow on my exige, and my friend has Norfolk mustard. Mine is a flat colour and his metallic… in photos you wouldn’t know one was metallic and the other not… only in bright sunlight does the fleck really show.. and even then, saffron still looks great

Wouldn’t be the first one to be misdescribed by a dealer in an advert…..and the owner then leaves thinking it’s one Lotus colour when it’s another🙄
bosshog
I believe 'Solar' yellow on the Exige is only metalic yellow ever done by Lotus recently.
Popular Post bosshog
The non yellow still comes up good mind if you look after it. Here are a couple of high res photos of my old 410 in the sun. If you download to your computer and look it should give you a very good idea of what will be like. https://home.glasscubes.com/share/s/fig0ukftjrc0undabnu58coafq

stephenwhyte
There are way too many Yellow’s across too many decades - it’s all part of Lotus fun and just a small part, of what makes them special!😉👍
