it's really good because you can go anywhere! the next of kin was a bit strange, could it be there are test drives?

Yes I was puzzled about the next of kin! No mention of driving license though…

Perhaps these are the +1's that got mentioned somewhere as an extra person to tag along?

So not a great buying experience so far - I live 15 miles from Hethel, and nearer than Stratton who have been downgraded to service only and are further away than that.

Colchester not possible due to date/time so I’m now having to take a day off and undertake a 6-hour round trip to Silverstone on
a Monday.

There really needs to be a Hethel event too, in the absence of a local “retailer”…..

🤬

I got an "Emira Priority Reservation Showroom Event Invitation" email at 18:53, I've booked for 20-21:30 28th September at my local which was Bell and Colvill. It seems the evening slots were not on that roadshow link previously shared in this thread.

Do I bring my mate who loves cars or the misses who hasn't seen it yet... 😬

If we're having a sweepstake again, I'm going to guess it will still be Blue giving it is their launch colour :D

Well I suppose it is a question of how much persuasion she needs to let you buy it.

Just sorted out my trip to Silverstone on the 1st October. Nicely getting real now😎

Unless you have a different list from me I think you must mean 1st November, the car seems to be down south during the first half of October.

Meanwhile, despite the risk that I might cancel, Lotus are allowing me to have a close-up look. Are they stark raving mad :o ?

Ditto. Will be at B&C for the earlier evening slot on 28th and have same wife/mate dilemma….

Was down at Goodwood today - some lovely old motors there.

Jamie@ B&C confirmed to me today that it will be the blue one as it is the ‘finish ready’ one and the closest to how the production cars will look. Especially the quality of the interiors. It does not have an engine though so no hope of hearing the soundtrack or dreaming of driving it. Strictly a static demo - just to get us excited to see and feel it in the flesh.

"During week commencing 20th September, Lotus will being calling and emailing all of their Emira Priority customers, which of course you are, with instructions on how to configure your Emira and will be required to pay a further fully refundable configured option fee of £3,000.

As a Priority build customer you will receive a personal call and then an email from Lotus, please do bear in mind however that due to the large volume of deposits it might be a week or two before you receive your call from Lotus."

Get your credit card ready...

If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it.

That’s interesting Ade, I wonder if Lotus will stagger the configured option orders until people have had chance to see the car……? at which point I’ll happily hand over the pennies with a big grin 😁

Now seeing as it’s the static demo model, I’m back to the V6 or I4 conundrum. This might just be decided on the flip of a coin 🤦‍♂️

Interesting! I've not received that email. Perhaps staggered by the date booked for the roadshow? Mine isn't until October 16th.

By the time this individal car gets around the country, it will have had more bums on seats than a taxi.

Should be a test of the durability of the interior 😉

Does anyone have an idea of when the initial production cars will begin rolling out of Lotus, has it already commenced building test cars?

If it’s the static model (I.e the blue one) I take it that it will just be the car that was at Goodwood?

I don’t feel quite so bad about not being around to attend the roadshow. I’m sure all the information given at the events will filter onto here anyway.

I’m much the same, hopefully the decision might be easier (or made for me!) when the prices are released in the coming weeks.
