As an Evora Launch Edition owner we would like to offer you some rare unobtainium spare parts for your Evora in exchange for hosting a roadshow event for Emira in your dusty garage. Options include door latch mechanisms, window regulators, headlights, and rear sail panels. Please confirm you have a large supply of bacon and eggs and a greasy old frying pan with a loose handle. New screws for your pan handle are available from Lotus @ £19.99 plus VAT. Be quick before they go out of stock. We anticipate a strong take up for this option. Be aware some customers are coming from Porsche/McLaren so ensure they are given extra bacon, but absorb the fat before installation in the sandwich so as to avoid potential chino stains. Conversely, Lotus owners will be content with one hastily bronzed rasher that falls out of the bap during usage, as they are accustomed to such practices. Lastly, we will be sending you Emira signage for your garage door and badges for your Evora, including the larger diameter (6”) nose badge, designed by our local primary school children here in Hethel. Please practice a full reveal with your neighbours but don’t waste your bacon on them such that it becomes a back-order item. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Regards Emira ‘Overflow Car Park’ team” Today, you win the internet. Genuinely laughed out loud!

marclurr
I believe they're releasing the pricing and specification details next week. Hopefully that's true as I'll find it hard to give more money with no new information.

Nellie
Well I received the priority showroom tour email, disappointed that Lotus Silverstone were not one of the dealers, however have booked a later date with them on 2nd November to see the car Not bothered about have to pay another deposit if this is the process, as long as the promised configurator and prices are released beforehand. Frustrating to have to wait so long to see the car in the flesh having paid a deposit, this is versus the Porsche experience for the GT4 which is also pulling at me! however I want a Lotus to keep the Esprit company in the garage 🤣

They have been testing cars for 2 years! This will be the chassis, engine and other bits. Fit and finish on the body has only obviously been on a couple of cars. The early talk was that they expect the V6 First Edition cars to start rolling out at Easter time. The AMG i4 is supposed to be a few months after that. This is all subject to the usual parts and logistic delays that all companies are suffering in one way or another. It might be that by next month, after the config options update and further deposit, that you might get an ETA of your ordered car but one has to expect there will be some movement in that. As far as I know, they have yet to build another car since the current 1 1/2 cars. Quote If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it. My Emira Videos | Into Motorcycles? tailslides
Naturally, I anticipated they have already made more from the pilot build for certification purposes etc. Still early days for the production process if Easter is the proposed release. Whitey
I have just booked a day slot at Hendy Exeter on 7th October. I live near Chepstow, and this was the closest dealer that appeared on the drop down menu. I knew Williams wouldnt appear as they are terminated, but where is Rybrook Bristol and Birmingham - have they already left the Lotus dealer network? Mctaff
Just got this… “As an Emira priority customer, we promised you would be the first to hear about Emira specification updates. It's almost time to configure your Emira V6 First Edition, ensuring it’s in the build pipeline and ready to be delivered at the earliest possible time. Starting from early next week our customer service specialists will call you to explain the process and share a customised configurator page so you can configure your perfect Emira. Emira has proven to be phenomenally popular, it will take a few weeks to contact all priority customers and this will be carried out in the sequence first priority order customer payments were received. We look forward to speaking to you about the next stage of your Emira journey. Lotus Cars” I guess a lot of us will be getting an early call looking at the order dates thread 😃 Edited September 18, 2021 by Mctaff
aEdMIRA
I've asked my retailer and Lotus this and then I thought, what an idiot. I could just ask you guys as this is my first new Lotus! Let's say they call next week and I have to decide a colour; my configuration depends on exterior colour, so after I pay the other 3k and in a month or so decide I don't want grey, I want red - will I be able to change the spec or will it be too late. When I ordered my AMV8 launch edition about 16 years ago we only had 2 choices, inside colour and outside colour, but this is more configurable! I assumed as I have ordered a V6 that it is the V6 that is mentioned. As I have also ordered an AMG i4 car and heard nothing about that I am assuming the email was just for V6 customers. If a person who is only getting an i4 got this exact same email then, yes, that is an oversight though of course we do know that i4 configuration is likely not until January 22. I have got the same emails as all of you so clearly having a second deposit is not important at this stage. I will need to make sure that I do get those i4 emails as well as if it done on one email basis then actually I might be missed. Umm. Quote If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it. I got the same email stating it was for the V6 but I don’t remember being asked to specify which I was interested in my making the deposit. Mark Blanchard
Lots of established Lotus Dealers have been dropped unfortunately. Can't understand what Geely is thinking. I hear the Emira is going to be sold online, B+C and in high end showrooms with McLarens / Lamborghini. A car that sells for £65k next to cars that sells for £200k plus. They're a different customers. Won't be long before Lotus is knocking on the door of local dealers again I'm sure.
