Popular Post LotusLeftLotusRight
We don’t need people on the M25 to highlight non-insulated housing. A long hard winter and record high gas prices will be much more effective. Either that or buy a woolly jumper. 2
andydclements
If the news was correct and my recollection reasonable, then I think it's been called out that the person acting as spokesperson on TV himself has a house with virtually no insulation. that may be fine, perhaps he doesn't heat that house at all so no wasted energy.

Bibs
Another one just up the road from me again today. The news said one of the guys there has been arrested for the sixth time and is now in contempt of court for breaching an injunction. How are they arrested and let back out, with everyone with an IQ of more than 1 realising that they're just going to do it again. What do you have to do to be kept in on remand or jailed? 1 Quote 88 Esprit NA, 89 Esprit Turbo SE, Evora, Evora S, Evora IPS, Evora S IPS, Evora S IPS SR, Evora 400, Elise S1, Elise S1 111s, Evora GT410 Sport Evora NA For forum issues, please contact the Moderators. Greg | ValetPro
This is all a bit strange. There are so many other thing wrong in this world and these people pick on insulation as a solution to make the world a better place. Solve our energy issues and climate problems. Err I don't think so. Should the government (Or in the real world - the working Public) really be paying for these thing or should they just work on encouraging people to make this sort of investment. Which I believe has happened. In my first home we got a government grant to help to pay towards insulation. Made a big difference too. 1 Quote All the Best Greg

Kimbers
Sadly as time goes on people will get more and more pissed off with their rediculous protest. My worry is that, like when Extinction Rebellion sat on trains and were attacked by commuters, this could get violent. This is a group of protesters who are so miniscule and have such a small following that they have to resort to this to get noticed. many are professional protesters and I would be surprised if any worked for a living. Funnily enough on an interview on Radio 5 live one protester was interviewed and refused to answer if she worked or what her career was because she was a well known paid protester! Sadly their message is not a bad one, but by doing this they actually turn people away from them and their cause. After sitting on the A12 cause they were blocking the junction to the M25 last week I have absolutely no sympathy and infact its turned me off the whole debate! Quote Possibly save your life. Gold FFM Popular Post C8RKH Posted October 13, 2021 Gold FFM Popular Post Report Share Posted October 13, 2021 Looking at the videos i believe the Police need to take a different tactic given the various injunctions. They need to drag them from the road (by the hair would be fine by me!), then handcuff their wrists and ankles together so they cannot move and get back on the road, whilst the police are busy moving another protestor. Then leave them trussed up like that, handcuffed wrists to ankles for about an hour and a half, for their own safety, on the pavement (hopefully whilst it is cold and pissing down) whilst the Police get the traffic back moving, ensure the the obstructions are definitely clear etc. Then they should remove the handcuffs to just leave them handcuffed at the wrists and frog march them, with their cramped, stiff legs and backs and shoulders to a van, take them away, process them, throw them in a cell and get them in to court to be detained at her majesty's pleasure for a week or so. It's time to stop being soft and polite and nice. These muppets need to realise that their actions are unlawful and they have breached their right to protest. It's not going to be long before a driver loses it with one of them, and either beats the muppet to a pulp or just drives over them. And none of us want to see that happen, ever. 3 Quote I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way. Bibs
I don't think regretting only having 150mm loft insulation will be the first thing on my mind mate in the hugely unlikely event this comes to pass. Liam Norton, an Insulate Britain spokesperson, said: “In 10 years’ time when fuel crises are catastrophic, when the food has run out and when people are experiencing unsurvivable heatwaves, what would you be wishing you had done now? We think you’ll be wishing you had sat on the road with Insulate Britain doing whatever it took to protect current and future generations. So come join us on the road.” 1 1 Quote 88 Esprit NA, 89 Esprit Turbo SE, Evora, Evora S, Evora IPS, Evora S IPS, Evora S IPS SR, Evora 400, Elise S1, Elise S1 111s, Evora GT410 Sport Evora NA For forum issues, please contact the Moderators. mdw
The greatest risk is how foolish and usless the law looks. Being totally ignored with zero effect. The police arrest them, they go before the courts and are back at it again 24hours later. Quite honestly Im not sure why every tom dick and harry nut job is not out there gluing themselves to what ever they fancy for what ever the reason they desire. Someone will in the end get hurt or worse as the public will deal with it themselves before the police get there. Only needs the first person they step in front of to be having a crap day and things dont go as they planned.
