Gold FFM Popular Post TdM Posted September 27, 2021 Gold FFM Popular Post Report Share Posted September 27, 2021 I think the news outlets need to take a long look at themselves. They have been getting worse and worse over recent years generating their own drama which stokes people up and causes issues. They don't report news anymore, they generate it. They also like to have their own agenda pushed. I understand that tabloids lab one way or another as they are largely entertainment but the BBC should be neutral and just report facts. They are totally irresponsible these days, winds me up

Popular Post LotusLeftLotusRight
Yes on today’s BBC Breakfast a reporter claimed that the fuel shortage was due to lack of trucks and then, with the very next sentence, that there were just as many tankers out and about as before the crisis! The fuel shortage has been caused by the idiot, selfish panic buyers, but we’re not allowed to blame our fellow citizens any more. It’s always somebody else’s fault.

Gold FFM C8RKH Posted September 28, 2021 Gold FFM Report Share Posted September 28, 2021 Wife popped out this morning for some quick shopping. She had no problem getting fuel (limited to £30 at Asda but no queues) and reported NO problems as she past multiple filling stations in Dundee. It does seem to be a regional issue with the fast majority of w@nkers, muppets, f@cktards or whatever you want to call them being in England I am afraid! Totally agree re the points raised about the BBC. They are shambolic empty vassal compared to previously and the people running the BBC should be ashamed that the nations public service broadcaster is fueling the issues and problems through reckless reporting. I really do think it is time the BBC's remit was brought back to being the nations Public Services Broadcaster and a thorough review is undertaken to improve the journalistic standards which quite frankly are largely in the gutter these days, along with the Mail, Express, Sun and Angela Rayners mouth! 1 Quote I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. LotusLeftLotusRight
Same here. Just collected my Evora GTE from its MOT and went the long way home, which took me past the nearest petrol station. I could see that there was very little activity on the forecourt so when I got back, I took the wife’s Polo for petrol. Again limited to £30, although I went a bit over to £32.70, which was plenty of juice for that little engine. Usual price per litre too. I'd imagine population density plays a slight part too. Drove past the local Shell, they're punting unleaded and diesel out at 1.479 at the moment. Supply and demand and all that but it does seem a little more like blatant profiteering to me. PaulCP
I needed to get some more paint first thing this morning since I underestimated the amount initially required. I intended picking it up from Wickes but couldn’t get near the place. Why? - well our local Wickes store shares the same entrance as Tesco and the queue to get into Tesco was backing up over 2 roundabouts causing gridlock, assume queuing for petrol 🙄 but no doubt some genuine shoppers were caught up in it. Fortunately it is off a dual carriageway so I could continue round it and go a few miles further to another diy store 😉 Now the bit I can’t fathom is to get to Tesco you have to pass 2 Shell stations, one on each side of a dual carriageway but really just separated by a roundabout. Both Shell stations had fuel and there were no queues, so it would appear that people would rather sit in a long queue just to save 10p/litre (or whatever the price differential is) rather than pay a little more for the convenience of a quick fill up 🙄 As I went past in the opposite direction 45mins later the situation was still the same. ——— Bizarre! Bibs
Scirocco had the light on and Rachel has taken the electric car so thought I'd try my luck.
