Diablos-666
I swapped the v6s glass tailgate for a louvred one, lined it all up it and shut it but now it’s stuck shut. the release lever opens it a little but it’s catching and I can get it to open. any tips please? philcool
Had that on my s2 exige when the catch came loose I adjusted it and closed it and you guessed it pulled the lever and it only popped up very slightly. Solution got the better half to fully pull the lever and then you won't like this bit but had to grab the spoiler and rock the tailgate and luckily it unlatched and had to re adjust some more then nearly got it stuck again but bit of trial and error ok now Good luck
Diablos-666
I tried that, was getting frustrated and more and more forceful and decided to stop before I broke something.
philcool
Oh not sure how to proceed in that case hopefully someone on here will have a sneekey trick can't be the first time this happens what do the dealers do if the release cable snaps
Diablos-666
Managed to get it free last night with the help of a pal. The tailgate was set too far back (towards the roof) and the spring anchor point was catching on the latch in the boot. Tip for anyone else, don’t tighten the bolts on the hinges too tight until after you know it opens. Here’s a pic showing the spring anchor point, it need to be fitted so the notch is going left to right
