Gold FFM blindside Posted October 20, 2021 Gold FFM Report Share Posted October 20, 2021 Looks rather tasty. Great driving, lap time and induction noise. Good aiming mark for the Emira GT4 in due course.

Gold FFM Evotion Posted November 17, 2021 Gold FFM Report Share Posted November 17, 2021 Yay, another car we have no hope of getting - at all. £108K - yeah, for the fortunate Porsche bum-lickers and prevalent YouTubers, Will come to the aftermarket at £150k and the Weissach pack will be a lot more. However, enough of my jealousy. Fabulous car and actually enough for me to actually like a Cayman. Significantly faster on track than the GT4 - looks a lot better too and some wicked aero. All in all though, except for outright performance, it still makes the Emira look like excellent value. Quote If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it. My Emira Videos | Into Motorcycles? Gold FFM blindside Posted November 17, 2021 Author Gold FFM Report Share Posted November 17, 2021 Andreas Preuninger definitely knows how to compellingly “big up” a new Porsche GT car. It looks like an absolute weapon, but it will be impossible to get one at the proposed £120k list price. Expect there’ll be at least a £30k+ premium from flipper’s. Perhaps even more after the respected hard core motoring journalists get their hands on road & track testing reviews out there:

Gold FFM Popular Post blindside Posted November 21, 2021 Author Gold FFM Popular Post Report Share Posted November 21, 2021 Agreed Andy It’s a real shame if you are a genuine performance car enthusiast. You can get on the Porsche configurator and spec one of these up to your heart’s content, (I have), in the safe knowledge that you will never get near an order unless you are at the top of their ‘value chain’. (Long buying history and sell cars back to the dealer network). Porsche say that this car is an unlimited model, but in reality each Dealer will only get one or two at most in the first build run. The sad thing is it is a great car that is specifically tailored for entry level amateur race/track driving enthusiasts. The initial retail price point is supposed to reflect that….and does. But Porsche can’t pretend that they are not firmly in control of the real world demand & supply interface. Let’s live in hope that any subsequent ‘hot’ GT version of the Emira does not end up going down the same road as a platform for flippers and dickheads who have not the slightest interest in actually driving these cars in the way intended. That said ultimately I firmly believe in a free market. If individuals with more money than sense are prepared to pay a significant premium that is their call. 2
Gold FFM C8RKH Posted November 22, 2021 Gold FFM Report Share Posted November 22, 2021 Agree with all you've said Jimmy. It's partly this approach and these type of owners (investors/speculators and not enthusiasts/drivers) that actively keeps me away from the brand as if I'm genuinely being honest, and not on the wind-up, Porsche do make some great sports cars. LotusLeftLotusRight
Amazing that an official Porsche dealer is allowed to profiteer to the tune of £130k, at the expense of both their supplying manufacturer and their favoured customer. That’s just not going to happen with any Emira.
TBD
If you were still in Europe you could order it in Germany. Never seen any Porsche dealerships try this as they are owned and operated by Porsche themselves. Also never seen them turn down an order for a non-limited model. And yes, I'm afraid the 718 GT4 RS will run circles around any Emira. 2 Quote If you have the choice between a Stairway to Heaven and a Highway to Hell don't forget the Nomex®!
