Popular Post Greg | ValetPro
Cars fine outside. Car cover or a good cleaning and protection will look after the cars body. back seats - it be best to test it out. The comments are a mixed bag above so i would just go for a test drive. Its a small space in the back. Im 6ft and was in the back for 5minutes and would not want to do it again unless there was a good drink either side of the journey. What ever the thoughts on the test drive don't let this sway your decision as you have other family cars. The Evora is just a brilliant car your fall in love with it I promise. Evora are great cars and Ive seen the prices climb this year. I think the rarity and that there are no more being made of this car will help the price in the future. So expect them to keep climbing. 3 Quote All the Best Greg

What era 911 is it? I've got a 2004 40 Jahre and very interesting comparison with my Evora S. Both have 345bhp behind the driver and both 2+2 but they drive very differently. Evora far more compliant, amazing fluid ride. Steering far more communicative, brakes have better feel and stopping power, engine has more torque and low down shove. Down a bumpy country road the Evora would leave the 911 for dead, round a track it might not be so clear cut as the M030 sports suspension firmness wouldn't be such a problem. The 911 is better built, wears its age and mileage better. More practical, easier as a daily. Flat six with PSE sounds better than Toyota V6 (although 2bular system would level it up). But Evora feels more special - and as good as the 911 is to drive, the Evora is better - and faster in the real world. Hope that helps!

I'd also just like to state that I've put Mad Wax on mine and it's great stuff... Not advertising here, but I'd recommend sticking some on if you are leaving your car outside.
Harey
I've had mine for 6 years, and had the kids in the back. However, I would only ever consider for short journeys, as even for smaller people, it is cramped and not a luxurious experience. If this is daily, I would consider otherwise. Popular Post Phaeton91
Thought I’d follow up on this topic and re-introduce myself now as a fully fledged Lotus owner. The target was a black 400 +2 with alcantara trim and I have to say that I am absolutely smitten by it. I do have to say that there are many compromises coming from my stable of hot hatches which I absolutely adore for the overall capability and vfm, but I can live with every one of those compromises for the overall feeling of driving a car like this. I’m looking forward to many happy miles, and years of ownership. Incidentally, I’ve had adeposit down for an Emira since July but at the moment can’t see why I would want to change - especially given the plus 2 config.
Sam Downey
That is a very nice looking car! I'm sure the Emira will be just as nice, but starting to feel sceptical that it will be meaningfully better to drive with the same drivetrain. I think it will (hopefully) score on more modern infotainment tech, build quality and (purely subjectively and not really to my eyes,) looks. None of which mean anything much in terms of driving pleasure and capability, which is really what these cars are about. There is also the charm of knowing an Evora/Elise/Exige is much more hand built. So congrats! imho you have one of the best sports cars ever made as far as handling and feel and driver feedback are concerned, (aka driving fun! - the sometimes forgotten reason for even having a sports car in the first place!) and is right up there with the best in terms of noise and performance too. Can't do much better
jep
Congratulations. +2 configuration is an under-appreciated joy of Evora, I use mine so much more because of this very usable space (luggage etc...for my needs). Emira will be minimum 100kg heavier, that is a tough weight penalty to overcome to try to improve driver feel. Hopefully Lotus manage it.
