Gold FFM bondbaby Posted December 10, 2021 Gold FFM Report Share Posted December 10, 2021 I have the last champagne leather s1, the 3rd off last RHD ever produced and the last done in Roman Bronze - someone has changed it to red along the way. My question to the educated on here Do I put it back to completely original or do it in my preferred colour and interior trim
Gold FFM Escape Posted December 10, 2021 Gold FFM Report Share Posted December 10, 2021 It's your car, so chose the color and trim that you prefer. You'll enjoy all the more! Best of luck with the project. Filip 2 Quote I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.

Gold FFM jep Posted December 10, 2021 Gold FFM Report Share Posted December 10, 2021 Original is best. Certainly for end value. If that is of absolutely no concern to you, do as you like though for me, a change of factory spec to colour and trim would always niggle. I don't mind unseen improvements (brakes, performance, comfort) but somehow a colour change just sits uncomfortably with me. Illogical though that may be, sports cars are rarely logical. andydclements
Depends what your plans are for length of ownership. If you plan to keep it decades, then logically have a car of the colour you want, you're going to be less likely to keep it if it's not a colour you like. If you're going to sell it on after a few years, then original colour would likely maximise return on investment. /make it sell faster.
Frickin_idiot
If it was mine it’d be put back to original spec, that said, it’s your car and I’d recommend doing whatever pleases you. It is a lovely position to be in.
