Someone posted this on FB, a colourised version of the pic. Taken in Hornsey in 1958 next to Stan Chapman's pub, in front of the station platforms.

I think its worth adding these here. Very few photos that show both Colin and Enzo Ferrari together - 

Enzo Ferrari leads John Cooper, Raymond Mays, Colin Chapman and Lofty England in complaint at the 1960 Italian Grand Prix at Monza. They collectively argued that the banking – which had been reinstated by the organisers to capitalise on the Ferrari’s superior straight-line speed – was too dangerous. 

 

This one includes Mrs Laura Ferrari, Dino's Mother  -

And on the same subject - Colin and Jimmy with Ferruccio at Sant Agata -

Many Years ago I had an article about lotus published and I talked of my first ever memory being standing next to a gorgeous Purple Elan +2 with a Brown Velour roof.

Several family members have poo poo'd my memory! Till Today where I shove it up them! Here's a few with the first one the offending memory!

Would seem I was standing next to a Prototype Europa as well!

Looking at the pictures I suspect it was more a light Tan.

Colin adding weight for a change!

A prototype based on the Lotus Elite / Eclat.  I'm guessing for the federal market, judging by the size of the bumpers.

I posted this in Jan 2022, it was also the first pic showing an esprit shell before launch and a prototype eclat. I believed that the car in the foreground was a sort of early 2 seater idea based on the elite lower half. The photo was taken from the old farm area that is now one of the new Lotus buildings.
