lotusforsale.com
For sale is my 1996 Lotus Esprit V8 turbo in green, I inherited the car a year and a bit ago and the car had been stood for a bit. In my ownership I have done the following New clutches and release bearing Turbos reconditioned by turbo technics Turbo oil lines Timing belts idlers and tensioners 1 engine mount 1 gearbox mount Front and rear pads New battery Brake bleed Clutch bleed The car has a quaife diff and straight cut single peice shaft gearbox The car was motd 10th of December with no advisories Car starts and runs amazing and pulls like an absolute train 51000 miles Now on to the bad bit, the car had a partial respray (half the car) about 5 years ago, and something clearly wasn’t done right, about 1-2 years after the respray the paint started crazing and shrinking back I have tried to show this as well as I can in the pictures The post 1996 Lotus Esprit V8 Twin turbo requires paint grab a bargain appeared first on lotusforsale.com. Gold FFM Barrykearley Posted January 10 Gold FFM Report Share Posted January 10 This is swindon Alan’s old car for those tempted by it. Sadly the paint suffered from some extreme paint reactions while in the garage. Quote Only here once
stephenwhyte
Looks a good opportunity for the right person - I remember Alan loving that car. Was involved in a bit of an accident though wasn’t it hence the paintwork needed…..

stephenwhyte
Not as bad as I had first remembered but still good for the next owner to know👍
Gold FFM Popular Post Barrykearley Posted January 10 Gold FFM Popular Post Report Share Posted January 10 It’s a fantastic car - yes it needs some paint - but it does have some lovely goodies. Especially that gearbox. Alan was devastated when the paint pickled and had some issues with the clutch bearing and weeping turbos - all he was ready to do - but sadly his health took a turn. Glad to see his lads got the car back running again and I wish him every success in passing the car onto new stewardship. 3 Quote Only here once
