Marbles
Hey folks, at some point I really will get around to posting in the intro section! Quick one for you in the meantime, I'm mostly through my rear Cup 2's but copious amounts of tread remains on the fronts. Given regular Cup 2's don't seem to be easily available, is it ok to mix things up and put Connect's on the rear but leave non-Connect's on the front? As I understand it the Connect's are a different compound and have 20% greater tread depth, hence the question....
Bravo73
Welcome. @rallyesaxis probably best placed to answer your question.
Robjo
I have done exactly as you mention, I haven’t noticed any issues. Feel the same and the cars balance didn’t feel different. Note this is mainly street driving with occasional (not timed) track day.

fjc27
I did that too and noticed no problem on road or track (considering my average driver skill... differences are too subtles).
Exx
I have 215 connect FR and 295 non connect RR and no issue on track or road The depth was around 5/5.5mm for both so don't expect to have more with the connects
tactical lizard
Is 5/5.5mm brand new tyre depth? I'm just trying to workout how much potential life I have left in mine.

tactical lizard
Thanks, Just done some quick excel formulas: Looks like I need to swap my tyres left to right! If anyone wants this basic excel sheet then just let me know.
Toqcars
Your calculation predicts using the rubber until 0 mm?
GFWilliams
I’ve run different brand tyres front and rear. As long as you understand the differences in the grip levels, you can drive to it. Cup 2 and connects are similar enough that you’d barely feel it.
Toqcars
There are brand new Cup2 in my garage and I can measure 4 mm until the wear indicator 🤓
