exeterjeep
No, As RR was closing, around 1991-2, a number of the office staff had the chance to spend a couple of days taking a Gem & Gnome apart and trying to put back together again. One of the best courses I ever went on. (better than the IT courses etc..) I don't think Ukraine will be asking me over to rebuild the engines though. (Sort of back on topic..) Kimbers
It was amazing and didn't pull any punches. Really very brutal showing them killing Russian troops with drones bombs and morters. ramjet
@Kimbers How do I set up a VPN? Anyway, can someone explain to me how, if Putin is charged with war crimes, how the International Court in The Hague will be able to enforce any judgement on him? He'll just stay in Russia and blow raspberries at the ICC, or I am missing something? The latest missile attack on an apartment building in Ukraine is horrendous. I don't fully understand the politics behind it all and unfortunately, I don't think anything I read on the internet can be believed. I think it is a matter of taking the best and the opposing worst stories and trying to work out some sort of middle ground, but that could all be rubbish as well. 100th_Idiot
Some routers and NAS boxes can enable VPN's but the easiest way is to run an app on your phone or program on PC/MAC. So your research to get a good reliable one. There are some dodgy ones usually free. Some anti virus software offers VPN options. Personally I use ExpressVPN which has been good and gets good reviews. There are often discount vouchers knocking around on some YouTube videos but I could not tell you if there are today. Be aware that some apps are now aware of VPN's being used for regional block work around so YMMV. PS. I am not @Kimbers
drdoom
Putin will quite assuredly never face procedural consequences for this war, that would be inconceivable in any scenario other than total capitulation of Russian sovreignty. As long as sufficient Russians accept the present hierarchy as legitimate they will persist in seeing this as defense against the menace of an ever-e panding West. That is not particularly untrue, by the way, and fairly typical in the course of history to date. We have rightly preferred trade over war with any number of deplorable regimes but Russia, China and their allies now seek to permanently secure their status through military means. I fear the years to come will see worse should the West not succeed in crippling Russia meaningfully at this juncture. https://www.marketoracle.co.uk/Article70751.html

Popular Post ramjet
I have been trying to gain an understanding of whether NATO has caused this war, as some journalists are writing. The trouble with all of this is it is very difficult to know what is the truth, what is not the truth and understanding that possibly, the real story sits somewhere in the middle. However, having said that, I believe that this component of the war has NOTHING to do with the targetting of civilians under the guise of 'the UKF was using it as shelter.' The constant targeting of Ukrainian infrastructure to remove power and water from civilians. Sure, in some areas, the UKF may be using that infrastructure, but in the Western half of Ukraine? The forced removal of children from Ukraine. That is nothing but genocide without the killing. The torture of civilians and the killing of them and subsequent dumping in mass unmarked graves. Maybe NATO expansion has upset Russia and Putin, but it sure as hell does not justify the things above which are a matter of public record now. Has Ukraine broken some of the 'rules of war'? Possibly they have, but interestingly there does not seem to be any proof collected by the Russian army and made publicly available of those instances. Just sabre rattling. Or maybe all of the pictures and all of the accounts by civilians and all of the pictures of destroyed buildings et al, have been orchestrated by the same people that have tricked us all into believing that the world is a ball. Oh wait, it is a ball. 3 Quote All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit. Opinions are like armpits.
