Popular Post Tony D
Duncs has been tracking a Elite / Eclat register for some years, but to my knowledge, there is minimal consolidated record of the Excels. Therefore, I'm putting together a register of Excels and hope to consolidate anything picked up on Elite / Eclat with Duncs at some point. In this day of data protection, holding personal detail (ownership history etc) is difficult, and certainly making such data available in public is definitely taboo, so i;m concentrating on details of the cars, getting no closer to owners detail than perhaps a forum name and area of the country. Not sure how yet, but I'd like any register to be viewable at least within the forum. Dunc and I have also spoken about trying to consolidate facts on things like "cars per year / On road/ off road, lost in history - that sort of stuff. but lets say for now that is work in progress. So if you'd like to share your car details (and limited owner detail) for inclusion, please drop me an email with any details ( Reg, chassis / eng No's, colour, spec, etc) and relevant history you know of to : [email protected] or PM me via the forum - or you could just post below. Welcome details on Elite's and Eclat's as much as Excels. Finally if you know a car has been exported or written off, that's just as valuable to record. So if you have a donor vehicle or two check any trim parts you still have : many had the last 4 digits of the chassis no written on them. With your help, we should be able to build a decent record of the models. Tony
Don.Hasi
In my view such a register is the backbone of any classic community. Any interest or someone who might be interested in these cars get a better feeling, on what topic he might gets involved. At least knowing if you get a car, which was former written off, is useful and for all others an indicator, how many really have left. I have a register for all Rivieras and a Facebook group with them. Edited February 27 by Don.Hasi
