There is a discussion on LEC and I wanted to post a pic, and easier here.. No Justin, that is not the OEM aerial. Certainly for the SE anyway but I see you have an S2. I'm 99% sure it's also not OEM for the S2 Edited May 8 by Rambo SE vs S2 update
Giniw
I confirm it doesn't look like my SE either.

Gold FFM jep Posted May 9 Gold FFM Report Share Posted May 9 Jim Clark or F1 in general? I don't know much about the M100 special editions, save the 50,000th. Justin

Made me think of your blue wheels! The pics must be of the last S2's , mine would have already been registered by the time we went to the factory. Giniw
I am surprised the aerial is on the right side?!
MPx
My aerial is right side - I suspect all RHD cars have a RH aerial?? Justin's aerial base is completely different to our S2 as it has the threaded portion on the base whereas the threaded part is on my aerial - female recepter in the base on the car. The yellow wheels have been copied more widely since, but AFAIK as an original factory finish was only for the Jim Clark specials and there were just 12 of them. 1 Quote Loving Lionel and Eleanor......missing Charlie and Sonny
Rambo
Correct about the yellow wheels Mike. They were factory finish and reserved for "Commemorative Edition" cars like the Jim Clark one, painted in metallic Lotus racing green. There were ~12 cars produced in that format from the batch of 800 S2 models, and they had black leather seats with red piping, red door cards, a Nardi steering trimmed with red leather etc. As far as I remember, there was no other external or internal badging to designate it was a "special" or "commemorative" edition. I can see how the green and yellow colour scheme works, not sure how the red fits in with it though. Perhaps the designer had a Collapso Red SE at the time and liked the colour 🤣 Edited May 10 by Rambo

exeterjeep
While my S2 wheels are being re-furbished at the wheel specialist in Exeter. Found a few MG alloys and with a bit of centre bore alteration. The rear 16" hairpin and a 17" straight on the front. ,
LOTUSMAN33
The fronts actually suit the car quite well 👍 2 Quote Do or do not, there is no try!
exeterjeep
And the other side.... the little blue stripes on the spokes - apart from not looking like a special edition, tell me which wheels have different centre bore. The tyres fitted are 205 45 17 as used on the ZR and ZS, for the M100 think the size should be 205 40 17 as the rolling radius is too large. And of course the offset is 45 on these so they stick out a bit more. But at least the car is mobile.
Rambo
S2 wheels are like hen's teeth. I think £1.5- 2k a set, if you can find any 😯 At least you are still mobile whilst your S2 wheels are being refurbishef Edited May 16 by Rambo

Rambo
I think I'll sell my 2 sets. I could just about get a bottom end M100 for that 😯 I'd happily go back to the 15" Oz Ruote wheels for that money. Trouble is I've upgraded the calipers front and back to suit the16" S2 wheels. Even the temporary spare doesn't fit now 🤫
