Gold FFM TomE Posted May 23, 2022 Gold FFM Report Share Posted May 23, 2022 There are several independent journalists at Goodwood for some kind of multi-marque testing event. There's been a Shadow Grey Emira out on track as well as the Hethel Yellow one. Several of the journalists have been posting pics on Instagram. They're all embargoed until 7 June, so not long to wait now.

stephenwhyte
The front boot gap, really does look bigger than it should be on every one I’ve seen so far. I’m hoping they fix this for the final production cars, but can’t help thinking it would’ve been sorted by now if it could be made better…….🤔

Gold FFM TomE Posted May 28, 2022 Gold FFM Report Share Posted May 28, 2022 As all the other press drive reviews are embargoed until 7th June, it's possible Top Gear will get the exclusive and have it in the first episode on 5th. TG Magazine and TG Online got first publication on the VP007 review.

mdavies
For those prepared to recognise the name “Lotus” as now simply being that of a brand, and no more, the ethos that it used to represent having disappeared with the Elise, Exige and Evora, this will be a particularly interesting comparison. For the first time for me, their pick of the car that they prefer will be as interesting and relevant as what they say about both of them, on a 50/50 basis. A new challenge re future choices! LotusLeftLotusRight
Or will they just re-hash the usual garbage? Brave effort, better in many ways, but we’d still take the Porsche.

mdavies
LLLR, An Autocar comparison, not by EVO. Yes, the usual result in EVO I expect. (Wow! otherwise.) But my point is that if the basis of the Autocar analysis and the weight given to the factors are creditable to me, then, if the Porsche wins, I no longer see any reason not to see it as the one to pick*. Just two brands now. * When the time is right. Edited June 3, 2022 by mdavies

Popular Post Beady
To break the boredom of the next 24 hr wait, lets guess the review output, starting with - Emira v Cayman head to head: Engine - Caymans wins - Porsche v Toyota - no brainer Gearbox - see engine Looks - Emira wins all day long Interior - a draw - Cayman now looking dated; Emira a big step up in quality for Lotus but still not quite at Porsche levels and the big screen in the middle of the dash looks like the interior designers ran out money or ideas on how to integrate it. Handling - Lotus takes a narrow victory (but the average Joe public wouldn't really be able to tell the difference) Which would I buy with my own money - very close; if you want looks and rarity value, choose Lotus, but on balance, Cayman probably wins on a split decision (because reviews tend to play it safe). have I missed anything? or am I wildly out? 6 Quote construction and property consultants : My company
