au-yt
I am considering buying a A310 V6 phase two (4 wheel bolt) anyone own/owned one?
LotusLeftLotusRight
Never been in one, but when I owned my R5 Turbo 2, I went to buy some used TRX tyres from a chap called Roy Smith in Milton Keynes. He was quite an officionado on all things Alpine Renault and even wrote the book on the A110 range. He owned a wide body A110 rally car and a V6 A310. This one, but it seems to be an earlier car with 3 stud hubs. I never did use the tyres. Turns out the rears were a really odd size 200mm wide I think. I still have them sitting on the rafters of my garage roof, despite selling the car 14 years ago. I have briefly owned a GTA Turbo, which my brother still has. By the way are you OK with LHD only in Australia?
au-yt
Most of the 8 of which there are 4 off 4 clinder cars and 4, A310s V6 cars here have been converted to RHD. also at least 1 I am aware off A110s in RHD
Gold FFM Popular Post Escape Posted March 21 Gold FFM Popular Post Report Share Posted March 21 I haven't owned or driven one (yet), but was asked to transport a barn find A310 a couple of weeks ago. Looked like a nice car, I certainly wouldn't mind one! There also seems to be good support and reasonable supply of spares, so if you like it, go for it! There was an Elan +2S 130/5 in the same lot, which now sits in my Workshop. 😎 No, I didn't buy her, but was asked to get her back on the road and more than happy to take that on! We had her running in about an hour, now waiting for clutch parts and then she can go back to her happy owner. I should start a thread for that... Filip 5 Quote I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.

LotusLeftLotusRight
The Australian market, might be different to Europe (inc. UK), but over here an RHD conversion would be a hard sell. Originality is everything here. I once had a RHD converted R5 Turbo 2 as a courtesy car for a few days. It was quite difficult to drive compared to my original LHD one, because the right side footwell is much narrower than the left, so not much room for the pedals. I have no idea if this applies to the A310, but it’s worth checking when you look on Friday.

LHD cars here like Porsche’s and Ferrari’s mainly from the Us are a very hard sell and usually 2/3 the price of RHD cars. RHD imports also suffer discrimination as the were not Australian delivered Pictures to come.
Popular Post au-yt
OK just a quick followup after driving the car yesterday, the RHD set up is very good in fact you cannot tell it not factory. The foot well is as large on the right as it is on the left due to the central chassis tube/box and to be honest it didn't feel odd at all. In fact I quite liked it.
