LotusLeftLotusRight
Yeah you’re right about the render. There’s a green one on the web in exactly the same position. The reg number refers to a lovely Evora 410 Sport.

Can’t wait to see some cars in the flesh. Well it needs to do well for Lotus for the next couple of years or so. And much will depend on the actual launch price. Also, unlike the launch of the Emira (looked to be 1 blue car that all reviewers got to see), there seem to be a range of colours of Eletre's to pick from at the moment? Gold FFM MJON Posted April 1 Gold FFM Report Share Posted April 1 Did I read that the Wuhan factory can be geared up to produce 150000 cars a year? That’s 30 years in Emira production numbers 👴🏻If so, not really surprised they already have a few out there.
exeterjeep
Yes I read that as well, although there was also mention of 100,000 per year from the total capacity of 150,000 but that may cover other Lotus models when they are announced etc, also don't know what else the factory could be used to build. eg other Geely products. With say 100,000 per year, it will have to be considered a good value product, don't expect Lambo make that many Urus pa.... 6 hours ago, scotty435 said: Looks good with conventional door mirrors. Agree the small ones look like the little things I bought for the quad bike. and very expensive when they get broken.
Gold FFM TomE Posted April 1 Gold FFM Report Share Posted April 1 I think the target volume is 50,000 per year for Eletre. The other capacity is for Type 133 and Type 134, which I think will be similar numbers. I guess they may be using it to build other Geely stuff before Type 133/134 start, or the capacity ramp up may be adding shifts rather than physical expansion.
Gold FFM TdM Posted April 1 Gold FFM Report Share Posted April 1 Green and yellow look the best colours on it for me. I think every Lotus car is going to make a splash in this launch cycle. They are looking like strong sellers. I suspect the 'Lotus wave' will become a classic car only situation from this generation. The same thing happened to Alfa in the 00's. A shame because it's near guaranteed in the Lotus world to get a friendly response.

The target volume is close to but not necessarily 50k in year one. the Factory has flexible capacity up to 150k+ per annum. But that is when the trio of cars is out and about. Type 134 is supposed to be the biggest seller of the trio. Eletre is the Halo product, production target was anywhere between 25k and 60k vehicles because it does depend in part on the uptake in China. And the spec level people opt for. Geely does hope they will be able to go straight to the top over there. Since the cars are made locally there are less taxes on it. But they have kept things a bit vague in the vision 80 business plan, besides when I last read it ... Lotus was still supposed to share its factory with other premium brands of the group. The factory has been designated as exclusive to Lotus, just like Zeekr and Polestar got their own exclusive factory. The Wuhan factory won't build vehicles for other brands of the group, at least not for now. It is part of the Geely's play to raise equity out of and for Lotus Technology. They are affecting a lot of tangible assets to their newest unit: factory, test track facility, HQ, R&D centres in The UK (LTCC) in Germany (LTIC) + access to offices on Geely campus in Gothenburg (CEVT). And of course, all is done under the oversight of Lotus HQ (Hethel) and ZGH (Shanghai). They have deemed this strategy the right one to get relatively fast positive return on investment, and it sort of Limits exposure for ZGH which is already quite over leveraged. 2

Bee
At launch, there was a white (or silver) Eletre with a red leather interior (see 9:59-10:03 on the vid above). Has anyone found/seen pics of that interior? I'd love to see what it looks like with some coloured leather in there!
Popular Post JimH
https://www.lotuscars.com/en-GB/eletre/configure/?model=Lambda Plenty of interior colours on the configurator (including green!) but you need to change the exterior colour first as they seem to differ in availability depending on that....
ramjet
There is still something that does not look right about the rear view look on the yellow one.
