Oil pressure sender and gauge

Hi there

After confirming that my oil pressure indication system is not accurate on my 300 sport, has anyone fitted a more accurate sender/gauge combination. Due to the large number of posts on the issue of low oil pressure indication I think it is time to source an alternative.

Any ideas please

Simon

I think the source of the problems are in the sender...not the gauges. Either that or the senders are not calibrated correctly to indicate properly at the gauge (i.e. they aren't matched properly as far as resistances.)

There is a way around the dual function sender, and that would be to "T" an adapter (like a plumbing fitting) to basically allow two senders to be mounted....one for the low pressure light and the other as a sole pressure sender. At that point it would solely be a matter of finding a sender that has the same range of resistance. Or another alternative would be to find another car that has a dual function sensor, and then buy an adapter fitting so the threads will match and allow the sender to be screwed in.
