Popular Post ekwan Posted yesterday at 03:42 Popular Post Report Share Posted yesterday at 03:42 (edited) One of the final parts of a full restoration of an S3. The plastic panel on which the gauges are mounted fell to pieces. I bought one from a UK supplier, had it shipped halfway across the world only to find that it was too high and wide to fit into the existing opening on my car, somewhat by about 2-3mm all around. 🤬🤬🤬 Hence, I went about putting out a dimensioned drawing on paper (since no one else seemed to have one), passed the drawing onto a CNC machining centre, and this was the result, out of 12mm thick Aluminium plate........ This is a trial fitting, so not quite finished yet. But it will eventually end up being anodised matt black to match the rest of the panels........ I am travelling next week, so in 2 -3 weeks time.
