Clarky5150
All ready to pop my refreshed engine back into the S4 but just want to check the belt tension specs. Will be doing it via Mhz as I don't have the deflection measurement equip and do my Ducatis in this manner. Could someone confirm the correct Mhz please. Thanks in advance

fjmuurling
Spec is between 110 - 120 Hz not MHz also the crank position is different when using frequency method. Quote Esprit Freak

Spec is between 100 - 110 Hz Engine at 30° BTDC with the colourd timing dots pointed to each other, they will not be in line. This is for the engine with a HTD (rouded tooth profile) belts. Gold FFM Escape Posted November 14, 2022 Gold FFM Report Share Posted November 14, 2022 Gates has a good (free) app specifically to measure belt tension. Quote I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.
