Well posted pictures to Kato and was told is probably too late to add. A bit odd as all the notices have said pictures in by end of August or begininning of September which we are now at but it looks like everythings already been decided! There should be a definate closing date so there's no confusion in the future. But anyway no point in dwelling in past, thought I'd share some of the pictures I took yesterday.

Thanks Rob and Mark for your comments. Iam not really any good with a camera but with the setting I thought I try a few with the camera on the floor. Seen a few people do this at meetings/events and thought I'd have a go! I am hopeful they may appear in the 2009 calender but by then, I don't think I still own this car. It happened to my S4s, I sold it before it got into the 2006 calender. It nice to have the car you currently own on any media! Oh well, at least my last car made it on. Fingers crossed for year after next.

I do have some but it's of a previous Esprit which I owned.

No such look on this occasion. I did suggest this to Kato, but the cost would be too much!

Si,

I hope you sent them early enough because it looks like most were sorted a while ago.

I've just heard that mine are not totally a loss leader, so just waiting to hear. Kato has suggested another idea which Iam quite pleased about.

We'll have to wait and see what happens!

Dave

Hi Eddie,

I had my shirt and tie on at the time so couldn't. Just put my camera on so the viewer screen was on and put the camera near the ground and pointed up. It took a couple of shots until you get used to it and you really have to hold your camera steady but it's far easier than lying down. Also right next to where I took all the pictures were rock pools, so I could lie down anyway! At one point I had the camera about 2-3" above water. If I had dropped it, then my camera would have been a gonna!

my avatar shot was taken with camera on the floor

It's dead easy isn't Howard? It creates some effective shots with the right background.

Oh the background is Liverpool Docks! I live on the nice side, Wirral, which is where these were taken.

There was a nice huge modern white ship in the bay as I arrived but moved by the time I got the car into position. Would have made a nice picture!

Only had a small time frame as today was pissing down here in Merseyside!

Hi Alex, Thanks for your comments. If you remember a while back, I posted a thread about this, large format printing. I will get a few pictures done this week and see how they turn out. Will report back on results later.

Dave

You have some quality photos there Dave, I would consider getting one printed at poster size, then stick it in your office and sit back and feel cool <_<

Hi David,

Seeing as you live near Manchester, if you do manage to get some decent pictures of your car, email them to me and I'll get a large scale full colour print done for you at cost price (minus) and delivered to your door via car. It'll be a test run to see what you think of the quality etc.

Dave

Now why didn't I think about taking a photo like that of mine, printing it off and sticking it on top of this year's August picture - at least its September now, sorry Karl.

Hi Bazza,

Your spot on, it is indeed New Brighton and where I live too! Where abouts did you live then?

Thanks for the kind words BTW,

Dave

The car looks superb.

If I'm not mistaken it looks like you were in New Brighton - I lived in the area for a number of years.

Wayhey...

That'll be Fort Perch Rock in the backround IIRC?

New Brighton...

I used to live in Hoylake - went to school in West Kirby...

Saw my first Esprit - white S1 - at a petrol station in Moreton when I was 10 <_<

Great picks!
