Erm, it actually tells you where in the first line of the advert text. 🤣😂🤣😂

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

Lotus sell them, I think for about £15k but I'd imagine there would be plenty of other, cheaper options for a new engine.

Interested as well as to where this DEE engineering is. A new engine is hard to come by generally?

They're in Leamington Spa, thy're really not trying to hide who they are or where they are. Thank goodness for Google.

I meant more as where did Dee get it from, but it would seem direct from Lotus. They must still have a few sitting on the shelf, having once upon a time expected to shift more Evoras than they actually did!

But why? The Toyota MR2 mk1 was a great, iconic car. Leave it as it is and save your money for an Evora if you want one 🤔

I can understand doing it in the fatter MK 2 MR2 but not the MK1, also after spending the weekend working on the Evora how little room is there going to be in that engine bay to do anything!!

I think the answer to any question which starts with, "why such a big engine in such a light car", is "why not"? ;)

I was under the impression pretty much any Toyota dealer can order a 2GR short block for not-crazy money, but you need to supply and fit your own head. And, I thought the only difference between the 2GR-FE fitted to Evora vs Toyota models, was the Lotus ECU tune?

I fairly recently owned a MK1 MR2 and to be fair that 4A-GE engine was just a beautiful revy engine which was the star of the show really, but also the idea of chucking a big engine ie Clio V6, Westfield S-eight, Rocketeer MX 5 into a small car makes it sort of exotic, not always the best handling but you get that fantastic larger capacity engine note giving you the thrills and extra pace.
