Anyone taken Their "A" pillars off before??

Recommended Posts

Anyone know how the trimmed inner pillar caps come off?? There are 2 clips which, if it were any other car, would probably be "V" springs popped into square holes in the pillar, a bit of a tug, and voila!

However I am using more force than I would like and the Esprit's still will not part company with the pillar. I have the parts CD but the drawing is not really detailed enough. It seems to be the same for early and late model interiors.

Is there a special "wiggle", do they slide, pop, what??? This is really holding up a job I am doing, and might mean I miss the Esprit day tomorrow :)

Scratch that.

It's sort of dawning now, I can see they are the usual "C" clips but... as I worried about at the time, it seems like the baboons at Autoglass have bonded the trim to the screen :

I really don't know if I can get the top dash off without these now, looks like keyhole surgery through the radio aperture!
